Although to be fair, there are only a couple of linesman who are doing repeat game.

I would think that the linos are local and there would be a few in each town.

Surprisingly he has never been ref of the yr. This yr he hasn't been quite up to his normal standards, but still is better than the rest of them.

He is miles ahead of the rest of them. Surprised to hear he's never won ref of the year.

He has won it once, Patrick corrected me.

has she grabbed him by the shirt and clipped his heels?

Didn't think it would be that hard to move a couple of barrels.

I'm looking forward to watching Velaphi.  You always know a cock-up is never far away as long as that guy is on the pitch.

Is there any chance Ricki will drop Totori and put Clarke on the bench instead?  Not really overly impressed wtih Tots

Clarke not travelling, same squad as last week except Boxall in for Sigmund.

what's with the Totori angst?

Thought he had a good impact when he came on.

Apart from his abysmal defending directly contributing to two of Adelaide's goals you mean?

It's quite an achievement to be a bigger defensive liability than Nick Ward but Totori managed that against Adelaide.

ahh- but no Leo angst? For stopping before the whistle? Or the number of players who didn't clear at all well? in a game with 'that' officiating?

Thought Totori attacked well and there should be a line of defence behind him- I'm not sure you could say he alone was directly culpable in the 'goals'.

Watched again and ok for the Cassio goal. Hmm. I still think he deserves a shot. Thought he was a menace down the right. Hmmm...yeah he did get a bit done like a dinner huh.

I still also think that again we need to be more clinical- we have the firepower in Fenton, Brockie, Ifill, Leo, Huysegems, Manny, Smith, Totori (Boyd?) to look to score at least two every game. I want to see us put games to bed, not sitting on a 1-0 lead. Have thought that in two games that we haven't played our best yet, and I hope we hit our stride soon- Brockie finding his scoring boots would be nice and I think Ifill and Totori too have the possibility to take better options or just find their radar around the box.

Leo was one of our best players on the park, and if he decided to lunge in for a tackle he would have just got sent off and given away a penalty. Read the Adelaide match thread.

has he not got a visa?  Don't know why we have an injury replacement when we don't use him.

Hope Dani isn't far away.

Dani about 2 weeks away if all goes well. Would be great to see him on the bench next week at home to ease him back in?

I wouldn't want us to ease players back in against a rampant CCM side. We need to be at our best for the whole game. The Newcastle game the week after would be a safer option imo.

I'd prefer Biss to Totori.  Admittedly I guess they are different players but don't think the young lad did his chances any harm against Jam tards.

Fair call - we need to rebuild "The Rock" (no one comes out alive) at the ROF

The difference is Siggy contributes a hell of a lot to the team, whereas Totori does not. All Totori did was leave huge gaps that other players had to cover, he completely screwed up our defensive shape just by being on the field.

I am bemused by the lack of game time Clarke is getting, when I think he offers more that Totori and Boyd. I like that we have Boyd in the squad, but I don't think playing those two together as the answer to everything has helped the team in any game so far.

I think Clarke offers better skills than Totori, and it seem an utter waste to get him here just to leave him on the training pitch.

I think we need to be wary of Melbourne, but I think the Phoenix need to stop giving them so much credit.  They were utter shite last season and we treated them like they were Barcelona and lost 9 points.

I really don't get why we pressure most teams so well to good effect, and then we play Brisbane or Victards then suddenly our man marking is gone, everyone has too much time and space with the ball, and we give up stupid goals.
