Great impact for Adelaide...

really? I thought he got in behind several times, had a good attempt at goal, won a free kick, was unlucky on the off side call...

Our defensive shape got completely out of kilter with him on the park, opening up space for Cassio to carve through us and get to within 30 yards of our goal (he couldn't do that with Fenton on the park), and this was the major reason for the strong finish Adelaide had in the game. Going forward he offered next to nothing - got in behind once when he was wrongly called for offside, but lost the ball going forward regularly (including losing the ball 35 yards from our goal for their third goal) by just running down blind alleys and getting himself cut off from support.
At times he really looks like a park footballer rather than a professional one, he hardly ever gets the head up to see what's going on around him, you almost get the impression he's being controlled by a 12-year old playing FIFA13 or something.

Also think people forget the huge hole in midfield that we had once Cassio got passed totori. Where was lia/muscat? Same with their third goal, our team was so hollow

The difference is Siggy contributes a hell of a lot to the team, whereas Totori does not. All Totori did was leave huge gaps that other players had to cover, he completely screwed up our defensive shape just by being on the field.

100% agree. Totori is awful. Really poor and probably the worst player I've seen in a Phoenix shirt.

leilei gao?

Gao didn't fit into the team, it wasn't his football ability that was the problem. I want to give Totori more of a chance but am gradually losing faith. More so watching his shooting warm up before the game than anything that has happened in the games themselves. He went pretty well against Sydney.

I have to be blunt and say I told a few people so. Should have never been signed (not directed at you El G but your post could well have been my words ad verbatim)

Totori would be awesome if we were playing against the All Whites team that played at the Confederations Cup qualifying every week.

Surprised no one has mentioned Cleberson yet.

Three for me, and two for them.

It was always a gamble. I think we all knew that, whether we were optimistic or pessimistic. I mean he was essentially signed on the basis of one relatively good performance.

So far he shown himself to be very fast (which is exciting) but generally seems to run around like a headless chook (which is not inspiring). Someone said something about a 12 year-old FIFA player. Yeah something like that.

I really hope he is just in that "transition" phase and soon he'll start ripping up the league (forever optimistic) but so far he doesn't seem to have the footlballing brains to do the job.

He's not selling that "rich vein" of pacific island talent either. I mean if he is among the best of the Islanders that doesn't inspire to much  confidence in anymore from the region following his footsteps...

I'd take a draw if it was offered.  Hate that I'm so pessimistic but history ain't good.   They always seem to get into gear against us.

The Totari angst thread is spot on, early promise but failure to provide an all-round A League game performance.

Someone needs to give him the hard word, Fenton is home grown talent and gives so much more (and he defends).

Can we get over our spook team though, we need to be hungry.......

I think the comment about his style was "being controlled by a 12-year old playing FIFA13".

Time to take him back to EB games and ask for a refund.

Sweet that shouldn't be too hard then. (thought Finkler was injured?)
