This is why I never sign-up for text alerts for anything. There have been a spate of scams shown on Fair Go where websites get you to enter your cellphone number for something - only for the "strategically placed" (i.e. hard to spot) small print to reveal you have just subscribed to something that will hurt your phone bill.
