Step right up! Pick a formation! Any formation!
Just pretend the Yellow fever are now the coach of the phoenix and all important decisions fall to us by democratic vote.

At the moment I'd prefer a 4-2-3-1

------------------Vuko
Sigmund--North--Durante--Hearfield
-----------Muscat---Brown
-----------------Ward
Bertos--------------------------Rojas
---------------Greenie

As a 4-4-2 advocate I back this:

                      Vukovich
Sigmund Durante North Lochhead
                        Muscat
Ward               Brown              Rojas
        Greenacre    MacAllister

Crowther Hearfield Daniel Bertos

442 is all we can play realistically for the next two seasons if we want to use greenacre propperly, the only problem is that he needs a partner in crime, and DMac just isnt clinical enough.

We do have good wide players who will cross, so we need aerial threats in the box, ie Smeltz. Brown does well but we need another guy who is gonna bang em in regularly.

#1 transfer target surely.

asmodeus 82, your signature is a bit unnecessary and unnerving. Don't need that kind of thing here.

Just for giggles, you must remember those maddening Hyundai adds from the early seasons which were repeated numerous times every game. Yeah I hated that. Bit out of date though probly should change it. (not hommicidal (honest))

Agreed, when we have played it things usually work out better. But DMac hasn't proven himself to be the solution to our striking partner problem and we need one.

4-4-2 and 4-2-3-1 are the same thing most of the time

So many teams supposedly play a 4-4-2 on paper but on the field the two central mids sit deep and one of the strikers drops in behind the other, in line with the wingers, making it a 4-2-3-1

E.g. Arsenal's invincibles 03/04 - almost everyone supposedly played a 4-4-2 back then. But if you watch the games you'll see bergkamp sitting in front of the 2 central mids with ljungberg/pires either side of him and henry in front. It was really a 4-2-3-1 in essence
