Picks for crowd at 1st game of A-League at Caketin
I'll shout a doz of crap beer (e.g. Burmeister) to who ever picks
crowd figure to the nearest thousand (say if u pick 18,000 before
the game)
Don't you mean the Stadium??
which ever way u want to put it mate
Does Waikato count as a crap beer for you, because up here thats
liquid gold.
17,341 at the first game.
i dont have a problem with Waikato, have had worse, votes for
crappest beer???
Mate how bout upgrading to some 5% NZ lagers???
17,500
I would hope that the crowd would be greater than 20,000 but coming
off the cloud I say 17,000
12,000
Think it will build on that after a few wins.
At least 500 (the number showing up to the preseason
training games so far)
20,000 + 1, thats The Skaman.
Worst beer - Fosters or Rhieneck - hell if those are the options I
hope I'm wrong.
ill vote 1 person if we play the price is right rules then i win if
everyone over shoots the mark but i know one of you guys will say 2
to cut me out so ill guess 6,700.
waikato is actually quite expensive here, but i think its ok its still not home brew but its close

Waikato is awsome, and im also from there.
I say 23,497.
Then either up if you win or down if you lose.
21,239 or thereabouts
13723 unless its a southerly and pishing wi rain!! then it
will be 7572
Well, my official entry is 12,500...basically twice as many as
turned up on Sunday.
I don't really see us getting a 20k plus crowd in the first season, unless we're playing exceptionally well and make the playoffs, since many people may decide to jump on the bandwagon then. But realistically the crowds of 20,000+ are pretty rare at the stadium - only the ABs and the Hurricanes pull those numbers. The Lions only get them if they're in the playoffs, otherwise they're in the 15-16,000 range, the cricket's usually about 12-13,000 and the league test last year was from memory around 16,000. I think we should aim to get about 8-10,000 to turn up regularly in the first season, and look to build on that in successive seasons, with more exposure and hopefully good results.

My pick is 8800. To be honest I think omst of the people who would
go, did on Sunday. The extra numbers will be those tyhat couldn't
make it plus a few more who's curiosity has been entertained.
I think the biggets crowds will come towards December
(15,000-20,000), provided we are placed above 6th, and are
playing attractive football.

10 to 15 thousand easy
I have a bet that it will be more than 15,000 for the first game,
so make sure everyone you know is there
19,300.
Does anyone agree that there seemed a whole lot more than 6000
on Sunday. I thought at least 8000.
But I did fail school Cert maths

Thats wot i thought...since everyone was sitting on the sunny side, and that side was quite packed, i would have thought it would have been at least 1/3 full, so roughly 8000-10,000.
Maybe the turnstiles failed school C maths

I reckon 15,872...
I was in the Herald a few weeks back and I said I'd hope for
over 15k - the journo told me he thought I was being optimistic

Im guessing there will be a few from Melbourne over for the
game, but you can't count them as a being whole people!
