Just doing some trainspotting.....only five players across the
whole league played in every one of their team's 21 regular season
matches in 2007/08, and just two played every minute of every
game.
The players to play in every game (with the number of minutes
played) were...
Ante Covic (NJ) - 1890 minutes
Jade North (NJ) - 1890 minutes
Travis Dodd (AU) - 1871 minutes
Iain Fyfe (SFC) - 1871 minutes
Richie Alagich (AU) - 1749 minutes

that's a rather audacious new topic post there LPF

I like tautologies because I like them.

richie alagich's fitness is impressive for a player in his last
season (i wonder if he regrets saying adios?)

Smeltz, Moss, Dodd and Lochhead should all have played 21 games if
it wasn't for international duties (Lochhead Smeltz), Virus and
suspensions (Dodd), and the somewhat inexplicable appearance of
Mark Paston against Adelaide.

Avoiding suspension is half the battle - I've counted 49 players
who missed at least one match through 4+ yellows or a red.

and how many players, like our J Spoonley who never got one minute
of time??
Oi Oi Edgecumbe... lets have a clean sheet

Where do you get your stats from Piney? I have a couple of thing

If you think it was inexplicable - you clearly didn't see the previous game where Moss wasn't flash in the first half. I well remember what the radio commentators said (thinking they were off air) at half time and it wasn't very favourable of his performance in that game (let's say he didn't like crosses). Paston had to be selected after that and had to be dropped after the next game. Both decisions I would agree with although Paston may well be the better keeper of the two, but Moss rightly held his place once he started catching the ball.

Which reminds me, the comments "off air" on the radio commentary
this season were often the funniest part of the match, also some of
it was fairly "adult" it is fair to say. It was great hearing what
the commntators really thought when they weren't on air to the
outside world but could still be heard inside the stadium.

I love the stats you come up with lf1, top effort.

LPF1, is this you I snapped at the Wellington railway station

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

That's me. Just waiting for the 7.47 from

If he's that bad how come he's AWs number 1 then?
Three for me, and two for them.

He's not bad, he's jsut out of match practice. It's quite
debateable who the better 'keeper is, Moss or Paston; Moss is just
the far more in-form one.

I know he's class CL i was just wondering why Inter rocks seems to think it was "inexplicable" to play him at least once this season.
Three for me, and two for them.

That's quality

He hasn't changed a bit since I saw him last. New
anorak,maybe.
Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.
