Huh, these games always make you happy. Some luck, a good goal and a rather lucky win. These ratings are from watching the game with no sound (see Dangerous Liaisons Thread if you want to know why) so they may be factually wanting (so whats new!).
Pasty 8 Some great saves, would've been a nine if he hadn't come out and missed that bloody catch.
Manny 8 Part of a magnificent rearguard.
Siggy 8 Time and again
Dura 8 The acid was on for so long and they held tight
Lochie 7.5 Nice cross, defended well too
Leo 5.5 Didn't see much of the game
Vinnie 7 Kept chasing and closing down their midfielders all night, nothing silly
Brownie 7 ditto
Sanchez 5 Invisible
Greenie 7 Worked in with Vinnie and Tim to just keep them under pressure constantly. Unlucky not to score with his flick.
Ifill 7 Great header and cross for Greenie, worked hard at times too.
Wardy, Smith, Pavlov all did their bit

Ref 9 for spotting that dive and not being pressured into bad decisions

Correct me if I'm wrong!!

Disagree on the high marks for the entire back 4, they were absolutely horrendous in the first half (and Lochy was actually probably the best of them!).

Apart from maybe Paston I don't think anyone was more than a 6. Tenacious, brave, desperate definitely, but it was remarkable how from start to finish we gave them the ball so cheaply yet went unpunished. That goes for just about everyone I'm afraid.

Still, can't fault the commitment. Crucial 3 points.

The back four and Pasty all made mistakes. I reckon they should lose a point and a half, maybe Pasty a 7.5? Brown and lia not always that great in the middle. Leo and Sanchez poor, Leo slightly better, but you never think much is going to happen when he gets the ball on the wing.
I agree with comments about giving the ball away or not managing to complete passes - we really need  to work on this.

But to win under that pressure was fantastic.

Sanchez needs to go central. Drop Brown or Lia or both and play Smith. Leo wasnt great but has been improving

Just wondering how long Ricki is going to continue to play Sanchez out wide given that for weeks now he has been very average..even poor in that position and a real waste of his talents

+1, playing out wide really doesn't suit his game.  Ricki might as well try and play Brown on the wing.

I think we need an different option than leo getting the ball on the wing and then passing it backwards or Sanchez just losing it.

I think he can be a better option than Leo, maybe not tracking back to defend but at least when he has the ball something might happen. We need to try something different with Sanchez.

Sanchez needs to play behind Greenarce And Ifill as a feeder of ball.
