Not one of our better performances, so...

Pasty 6 Made a couple of good saves, blocked their shot before the goal

Leo 5.5 Defended very well, crosses almost all hit the first defender.
Siggy 6 Held off McBreen for the most part
Dura 5.5 Too much pushing fwd, I know he's got to lead by example but...
Lochie 6 A couple of good crosses, solid
Fenton 5.5 Defended well, didn't create a lot
Manny 5 Gave ball away several times
Lia 5 Ditto
Boyd 6 Lively
Brockie 4 Too slow to pull the trigger in the couple of opportunities he had, always took the extra touch
Dani 6.5 Some good passing, nice header
Smith 6 Improved the midfield when came on
Benji 6.5 Was noticeably the go to man
Stein 5 Little impact

YF, well done you were heard through quite a bit of the game

Your versions?

Paston also had brain fade first half when he charged out miles and was nearly chipped.  Thought Leo was better than 12 pubs.  Agree with Brockies rating..not impressed.

Bit harsh to knock down Leo that much for his crosses given that he's a defender these days? Thought he did better than 5.5.

Paston would have gotten a 4 on his first half performance but definitely did better after the break.

Would give Dura an extra point, he made a couple of crucial blocks near the end of the game where he was the last man.

Would also give Benji an extra half. Didn't have enough time on the pitch to change the game completely but I thought he did really well in his short spell (as per usual) and that's all you can ask. Well, netting that volley would have been nice...

Paston 4 - almost lost a goal rushing out.  Horrific throw-in second half too.  Did make a few saves late on.

Bertos 4 - defending not bad but crossing utterly horrific.  Crosses can't beat the first man every fecking time. Crap.

Durante 5 - trying to drive the team on.  Tricky when the team is garbage.

Sigmund 4 - flying around everywhere, out of position

Lochhead 3 - seriously, this man is a professional footballer.

Lia 4 - poor, not up to the standards required in this league

Muscat 5 - a few decent tackles but has had better games

Sanchez 7 - tries to mix things up a bit, got another goal, probably our best player on the day

Fenton 5 - gets head down, runs, rarely beats a player.  Does put the effort in though so fair play.

Boyd 6 - a few nice touches, faded later on

Brockie 4 - a bit lazy and too casual at times, did not do much other than that backheel offside goal thingy, extra point for that.

Subs

Totori 6 - again made a difference and got an assist.  Should start v Heart IMO

Smith 5 - cannot remember him doing too much, probably an improvement on Lia though

Huysegems 4 - not enough time to do much

Er, everyone agrees that McBreen's goal was the Nix defence not being able to clear from Paston's fantastic save. I want Mossy back too but Pasty had a better game than Matt Ryan, who was screamingly at fault for our goal.

I would give Dura a low mark for pushing all the way up most of the game and then leaving Leo and 12 Pubs to do the defending, which they weren't up to.

So now it's ok for a defender (who has been a winger his entire career) to put in terrible cross after terrible cross just because he's a defender now?  Strange philosophy.

I think some these ratings a being a bit harsh on Dura, he cleaned up at the back numerous times and was one of the few players who actually seemed to want to win.

The amount of corners and free kicks in good positions that we waste is literally unbelievable.  We either hit the first defender, overhit it out the park, or it is chipped tamely into the hands of the keeper.  This happened EVERY time yesterday.  Nobody in the team is really great with the dead ball situations.  No pace or purpose in any of the corners / free kicks etc.

I thought it sounded pretty quiet in the second half.

Agree, I thought he was one of our best. Plus when he went up Manny slotted into the back 4 so they'd obviously planned it. Stopped a heap of dangerous movements in theirs tracks.
