Apart from the consistent giving away the ball, both goal scorers were being marked by Muscat when they scored...
Impressed with Roly and Roy, the rest were pants.. (sorry Moss, didnt have much to do)
First goal was on Doyle imo, dived in on Hersi one on one. Got done, Hersi was free on goal, could pick his pass.
To be fair that was a great bit of skill from Hersi, who, except for one game, has been absolute rubbish this season. Doyle shepherded him to the sideline, didn't actually dive in but failed to crowd him into touch and Hersi brilliantly flicked it around the outside of him. I don't blame Manny too much either. He really exerted himself to get in front of De Silva (a pity he didn't do the same to Keogh later on) but as so often happens when a team's luck is out, only succeeded in diverting it onto De Silva's body and in.
I wouldn't rate any player higher than a 6. In the first half I thought that our body language was wrong. A sort of defeatist slump of the shoulders when we lost out on 50-50 balls or had a decision go against us, some frustrated arm waving and shrugging between players. Made me think that the loss against Adelaide took a bit more of a psychological toll than we think, obviously not helped by conceding here in the 2nd minute. Ernie talks about instilling a winning mentality in the Nix but unfortunately I think two seasons of hard knocks have left team morale a little fragile and that definitely showed last night.
