We made hard work of it at times, but those conditions made it hard, some great football at times too.
Vuka 7.5 Hit the bar!! Did very well in the wet windy conditions with his decisions.
Troy 7 Makes you feel secure these days, good game
Dura 6 lived on the borderline with his challenges
Siggy 6.5 good game, lost .5 for his air shot!
Lochie 6 Steady, a couple of good crosses
Marco 8 Cut through them like a knife
Manny 6 Good effort, a few loose passes
Lia 6 Great volley, steady in midfield
Timmy 6.5 Was going to score till Velaphi beat him to it!
Ward 7 Kept the pressure on
Big Mac 7.5 Did job really well
Toto 4 Ran but couldn't make a decent pass
Daniel 4 No impact
Greenie 6 Nice header

What do you think??

Agree with these changes:

Dura 7
Siggy 7.5
Manny 5.5
Ward 6
Big Mac 6.0 - Why does he deserve a 7.5 for stuffing up the easiest chance ever and then getting lucky with the goal?

McCallister a 3 and that is generous
why not go the whole hog and sell Rojas and buy McBreen

more points for Lia and Sigmund.
they were very good again.

I thought Rojas was outstanding again and well done to Herbert for pulling him off when he did - the game was in the bag and we need to manage him carefully with the Jets games in mind.

Sigmund and Dura also good tonight.

Delighted we got the job done but no one else stood out in difficult playing conditions against a pretty sh*t opposition.

He dribbles a lot and the opposition dont like it - you can see it all over their faces. (Ron Atkinson)

Hope tonights game didnt zap too much energy and he's fresh for at least one more game this week!

I thought Big Mac had a good game, some nice touches, good passes and a goal. Good enough for me. Toto however.. Oh dear. We need to free up that foreign player spot on the team.

We will never fully decide who has won the football.

I thought MacAllister had a great game. He held the ball up and spread it wide well, and was a threat in the air. 7.5 at least.

I also thought Muscat and Durante did excellently.

Hearfield also had a great game, but he sometimes fails to take out high balls that go across him, thats his biggest weakness to me.

I think Toto has come in for unfaircriticism. Yeah he did some poor passes but so did many others out there tonight in the wind and rain.

Rojas the star though, top effort from him

.
I thought Bigmac had an OK game apart from missing that sitter. The midfield looked inaccurate...some of the passing wasn't flash, prob weather and the ground surface.

Rojas was magic. Everyone knows what he's going to do. Perth often sent out two to mark him but he still managed to skin them frequently.

Big worry for me was the drop in standard when Rojas, Dmac and Ward went off. Daniel, Greenie and Toto looked slow and blunt compared to the previous three. We have zero impact players off the bench which is a bit of a worry. Well taken goal by Greenie though.

Just prey that Ward and Rojas stay fit for the rest of the season. Would love to see a Ward Rojas Ifill combo.

It annoys me that Ricki still wants to have such an offensive bench.

I wanted toto to have a shot, an d for me, he reiterated his need to be not selected.

Daniel wanted to add too much flair, and I'm starting to come around to the idea that maybe he shouldnt be re-signed.

Think Musa or even, god forbid, diego would have been better on the bench.

Or on the other hand, Pav on the bench and switch to a 442 as the game progresses?

I think rating Daniel and Toto the same is a bit harsh on Daniel. Daniel made a couple of incisive passes that weren't capatilised on, while Toto offered nothing but loose control while running with the ball like a headless chook.

Hearfield had his best game in a long time for me, both defensively and offensively. Lochhead was slightly dodgy at times but at least looks to have regained some of his ability to put a good cross in. Just needs to work on his composure on the ball and maintaining possession now. aitkenmike2011-01-23 21:21:02

Probably better to drop Tonto to a 1, just for turning up likes...

Vukovic - 9 - Wasn't perfect but very close to it.  Sure he didn't have a lot to do but you can't rate him lowly due to it.  Hit the bar and did everything he was meant to including keeping a clean sheet.
Siggy - 7 - Was very solid.  Got a shot away which a defender blocked, though the airswing was embarrassing.
Dura - 7 - Solid.
Hearfield - 7.5 - Tracked back very well and if he hadn't chased his man down Perth would have been clean through on goal.  Set up our first goal.
Lochhead - 7 - Good.
Muscat - 5.5 - A bit sloppy.
Lia - 8.5 - Well taken goal.  Hit the bar.  Set up Greenacre.  Overall very good and Man of the Match in my books.
Rojas - 7.5 - Ran at them well and bet them often.  Got an assist.
Ward - 7 - Happy with how he played, nice header onto the post.
MacAllister - 6.5 - Missed a sitter but a nice goal.
Brown - 6 - Was a bit absent I thought.

Greenacre - 7 - Ran a lot and scored at the end so a 7 for what he did in the time he was on.
Daniel - 4 - Didn't really do anything.
Toto - 5.5 - Some good runs though I'm not sure he looked up once.  Some poor passes.

Velaphi - 1 - He gets the 1 for not running off the pitch in tears.  Horrendous performance.

Surely Greenacre gets an extra point for not getting caught offside in the 30 minutes he was on - surely a record ?

Right as usual WB. Marco clearly belongs in a higher League- let's hope we can keep him for a season or two.....

Anyone cringe when they saw it was DMac about to take that free kick?

Sure proved me wrong.

I never expect anything to happen with our free kicks - Leo normally skies them

I sorta hoped that it would be a goal... D-mac was close the other week with a free kick

Someone refresh me about the sitter that DMac missed. I don't remember it. I thought he had a good game.

whisky after someones header against the bar, then Dura had a whack at it, sprayed out across the 6 yard box to unmarked BigMac who missed it completely with his kicking leg and it struck his planted leg.

Confused at first, but the power it had on it was earth shaking, just how he likes it.

I remember him scoring off a free kick once at Central Coast .. in I think the 08/09 season..? Theres probably one or two more. But it's true, I never expect him to score, but am sure he has set up some goals from free kicks.Azevo2011-01-25 01:27:03
