Away draw at Perth, pretty good result

Pasty 7 a couple of strong saves, much better than last week
Leo 7 Improved heaps as a defender, better reading of game, a couple of very good crosses
Siggy 7 Strong, caught out when Smeltzy scored
Dura 7 Had the defence well organised
Lochie 6.5 Did the job well
Manny 6 Worked hard
Lia 6 Ditto
Smith 6.5 Got on the end of a lot of long balls and flick ons were a menace
Ifill 6 Tracked back well, a couple of great crosses. I'd like to see him play central at times too.
Brockie 7 Great goal and cross for Louis, playing with confidence
Fenton 5.5 A shame he didn't bury that cross. always cuts back the same way, worked hard
Boyd Did make a contribution last night
Stein Useful as well

Ricki Well done a good team effort

What do you all think?

Oi Oi Edgecumbe... lets have a clean sheet

Would give Leo 7.5, best of the game for me.  Did the RB defensive job well this week, but got more forward as well.

Siggy, cost us the goal, but an always epic warrior, another yellow, scratch head, fair enough 7, I guess, but maybe 6.5

Manny still not at his best, 6 is below his par.  Fair enough though.

Ifill deserves at least as much as Smith, 6.5 for me.  Seems to be getting into the games more and looking sharper, but still not the old Ifill.

Looking at those points and thinking, how do we become a top two side; we need Ifill back up there and the likes of Fenton and Totori really kicking on.  Plus Smith finding a new level or Sanchez stepping in and adding that bit of sparkle.

But four points from two away games.  The boys are going OK and we're in the hunt.  Just a liiiitle more needed I reckon.

Three yellows; Dura, Siggy, Lia.  Must be adding up.

Not sure how you can rate Lochhead below the rest of the back 4.  Perth goal came from errors by the central defence, and Lochhead got up and down well and put in a couple of dangerous balls (along with some atrocious corners, but Leo is just as guilty of those aswell!)

Would put Fenton up to a 6, otherwise pretty much agree.

Paston 7 - Best game for a while.

Lochead 7 - don't recall him ever been under too much pressure.

Siggy 6 - Cost us the goal - but generally ok.

Durante 6 .5 - Marshalled the team well, could have maybe put a little more pressure on Smeltz

Bertos 7.5 - Had a solid game, has done a lot better there than i though he would.

Lia 6. 5 - got involved and worked hard, was more prominent than Manny

Manny 6 - did nothing wrong, but not having his usual influence.

Smith 7 - is beginning to have more of a presence, would like to see more of this attacking flair he apparently has.

Ifil 7 - worked hard on D which was good to see and put in some nice crosses. Not beating his man as easily as usual.

Brockie 7.5 - drifted out in the second half until the goal and then was everywhere. Good calm finish. Decen first half to.

Fenton 5.5 - Missed a great chance and made some poor decisions. Maybe needs to come off the bench, get a little hunger into him to win his starting spot back.

Boyd 6.5 - worked hard and had a chance, needs to be clamer with posession.

Stein - not enough time to influence.

One of those hard ones to judge. Think it was an overall impressive result

That 433 is a lot more stronger for us, but definitely leaves us missing men in the front third when we break fast. Smith & Lia need to be transitioning a lot faster to get numbers in the box because often we get the ball wide and look up and there is one player near the box.
Think Lia does need to offer a bit more in the middle of the park - even just getting into better positions or moving into space a bit more

I would be happy to see us play more offensive at home as we did earlier in the year, but keep the 433 away.

Pasty 7 not as lack lustre as previous week

Leo 7 looking consistant in new possie !
Siggy 6.5 another booking but grafted well
Dura 6.5 turned by Smeltz a couple of times
Lochie 7 like Bertos looking consistant this season
Manny 5 not his best game easily dispossed a couple of times
Lia 6 hot and cold as per usual
Smith 7.5 good battler and takes a fair bit of punishment
Ifill 7 a few people whinging about him but I reckon he's working harder than he ever has
Brockie 8 star act just now
Fenton 5  works hard but doesn't seem to be as creative as he was in the first game of the season
Boyd  4 not long enough on park to judge but got stuck in
Stein  looked hungry ,not enough time on though

The answer to life's problems are rarely found at the bottom of a beer glass - but it's always worth a look.
