Woh that was a struggle

Vukovic 7.5 Sound, excellent save from the bicycle
Troy 5.5 Reasonable, not under a lot of pressure
Siggy 6 Dumb yellow card, solid enough
Dura 6.5 Good leadership
Lochie 6.5. did his job well
Manny 7 Dumb yellow card, won lots of ball and usually used it well
Timmy 6 Part of a crowded mdfield, some silly fouls
Lia 6.5 Good game
Wardy 6.5 Surprising to see him dragged early, was useful
Marco 6.5 His worst game for a while, but still made three excellent crosses
DMac 7 Another good game, nice goal, should have done it twice.
Daniel 6 better than usual
Greenie 6.5 Looked keen

Is this how you saw them?

If we play like that in the finals we're as good as finished, we're lucky the Jets are pants at the moment and pretty much mirrored all of our errors. Too many loose passes and turning over possession. I think Dura and Manny were probably the best today.

I'm going to cut them some slack due to the fatigue factor and because the conditions weren't great for good football today. That said, it was disappointing we didn't push on more to try to get a second and finish them off because we were certainly the better team.

Everyone did their job. Liked the way DMac led the line - he continues to improve his whole game. Also especially liked Brown, Lia and Muscat. It was one of those days when a lot of midfield grunt work was needed and all three ran themselves into the ground. Nice skills shown by Brown too. He can really shake and shimmy when he wants to. Shimmy Timmy!

Nobody gets more than 5.5 except Vukovic maybe a 6.5 I think.  Truly horrible performance.

I agree.  Other than beating two players once he didn't do a whole lot else.  Wasn't a bit surprised that he was substituted.

I'd Mc and V equally as both had very solid games.

I really struggle to see why Ricky still persists with Daniel.

Who should he be playing instead then?

He was an improvement on what Ward was offering yesterday.

No argument that ward was poor yesterday. I would prefer to see Toto used ahead of Daniel. He has started 11 games this year, and come on as a sub in most of the others and his contribution is poor at best

I would argue that his contribution is average at worst. Generally he comes on and takes free kicks better than most in the team, he delivers a couple of passes up the middle between the defence for the forwards to run onto (something we do very little), runs around hard, gives away the ball with a couple of stupid backflicks...

Toto on the other hand got on the ball, put his head down and ran as far as possible. And thats about it.

Forumers have a huge range of views on the ability of every player in the squad  (which is what keeps forums interesting and alive)  just because some of us (me anyway) don't rate Mac as highly as others doesn't make us "haters".

I cannot recall reading a single post when someone has said or implied they "hate" one of our players.

It is also possible to not rate a squad member as a player as highly as others but have no issue with the individual e.g. I don't see Daniel as part of our playing future  but I think he a fine individual and great club man.

Sorry for the lecture - quite probably an over reaction to the term "hater"  but the divisive posts are just getting a tad tedious and are really not necessary.

I agree completely. I thought Ward was pretty average by his standards and Rojas didn't get into the game much in the 2nd half.
Out success upfront is really dependent on those two performing and providing our creative edge.

Oh, this 'hater' is still here, don't worry. I still think he's a donkey, but he's scoring goals. Pavlovich is twice as much of a donkey as DMac is.

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.
