Woh, good result, well deserved. Way to test out the coach's patience and resourcefulness though, 2 red cards. I've just come from the game, so no benefit of replays so correct me if necessary please...

Warner 6 Did he only have one shot to save? Didn't seem too sure coming off his line (once).
Manny 7 Won his battles, looking to contribute
Dura 8 Led the team very well by example, hardly gave them a sniff
Siggy 7.5 Strong, much better than last week, in my opinion anyway
Lochie 7 Defended well, great cross for the second goal
Leo 7.5 Really contributed tonight, good decision making
Timmy 6.5 Great goal, should have volleyed his next chance, red card a downer
Wardy 7 Did the job well, held his position, some good passes, red card a downer as well
Ifill 5 Little chance to do much before injured off, looks like thats it for a few weeks
Daniel 7.5 Great finish to seal the win, slow start but always looking to make a difference
Greenie 6.5 Worked hard, kept the pressure on their defence
Sanchez 6.5 Looking like he's settling into the team well, some nice interplay
Smith 4 Had the chance to become an instant hero, but hit the side netting, only on for a few minutes

YF 9 In great voice, awesome reception for Terry and the team. It's good to be back!
Friggin hell Ricki where are you going to get a team from for next week????? Good luck!!

Lochhead was quality, as was Daniel. He tired on defense at the end, but justifiably.

That free kick was great.

Solid back four is what we need. Have been happy with what I have seen.

Smith looks hungry- exactly what we need. ANd he may need to start next week!

Agree with pretty much everything.

Especially pleased with Daniel, Lochie and Daniel in the 2nd half. Between them they ripped the Jets to bits down that left flank.

11 for everybody except:

Warner 10
Tim and Nick 10

WOW Smith gets a 4?!
He came on when we were down to 10 men, defended his socks off and almost scored when we had only 9 men as he created his own chance! if that's a 4, what would Lochy's average ratings for the season?? -5??

Agree with everything else, especially 8 for Dura and 7.5 for Daniel!

Mostly agree. Really pleased with Leo, Lochie and Brown - all three have been sub-par for at least the past season, but were great tonight. And I think Daniel really stepped up - he looked like a guy who deserves much more than just a cameo at the tail-end of each match. Also very pleased with the two centre-backs, Durante was imperious and Siggie was solid.

Generally good against a poor Newcastle side.

Greenacre - awesome I thought 9
Daniel - best game from him for years 8
Ward - contrubuted a lot and excellent cross for all important first goal 8
Dirty - Impressed me a lot.
Muscat - good work
Lochead - much better than I normally expect from him.
Warner - had nowt to do but didnt inspire me with confidence. Ill reserve judgement on him.
Ifill - didnt look fit for a minute.

The Jets defence was woeful, gave the ball away so many times

Chants sounded great from here in Hong Kong, not sure if if they travelled across the pacific + south china sea and in my window, or via the interweb to the stream I was watching. Perhaps a bit of both.

agree with much of this, however I think that a 4 for Smith was a bit unfair

I'd put Warner up a point because he tries to catch crosses and get an attack going, apposed to punching it without direction and conceding more attacks. It just takes the pressure off the defence and they play much better, whether people have noticed this or not.... Dont underestimate the power of momentum.

Honestly I thought he may have been more nervous than anything before the game, but he did what he had to do. Im sure his confidence has gone up from getting the first clean sheet of the season, and well see a game next week where he comes off his line every time to soundly take crosses via catching. (If he plays)

Apart from that most of the ratings seem to be spot on.
