Player Ratings v NQF

Well we won but no one seemed to play outstanding, very opinionated ratings I feel as I have only seen the game once from in the stands:

Reddy 7.5  Solid for the conditions, did fumble once and still injured obviously
Hearfield 6.5 Caught out of position a few times but good pace and dangerous on attack
McKain 7.5 Great goal, but a few too many slip ups and scary moments with him to be higher
Durante 7.5 Dependable from the back, didn't score but didn't screw up either
Lochhead 4.5 kicked the ball out so many times, good tackles though
Muscat 7.5 Again was confident and brokeg down the ball and saved us in tight situations.
Brown 7 Played well off the ball, just needs a little more impact on the ball for me
Lia 6 Worked off the ball as well, and got some good shots off, but a little invisible at times
Bertos 7 Attacking threat and dangerous when wide, a few screw ups but strong on either wing
Ifill 7 For the conditions, he played alright and beat a fair few players plus a great goal
Dadi 7 Good goal, what we need him for, good positional sense and good vision
Babarouses 6.5 Half an hour of solid running and good positioning.

Probably quite controversial but I'd love others opinions too

I dunno about Muscat. I'd give him a 5. He also really f**ks me off with his constant arguing.

I'm not sure that Muscat, Lia, and Brown probably rated a tad too high. Muscat's passing isnt great, brown is a bit once paced..slow  with not a great range of passing and Lia is a bit predictable. I personally think that mckain, durante and Reddy were responsible for a lot of stability in the team last night

Ifill was limping at 24 mins, and still plays on.  He's a bloody legend.

Although I'm not sure if his shot at 37 mins was a cross for Leo, or a shot off target!

I refuse to believe either of those options, and assume he intentionally kicked the ball out for a goal kick, knowing what would have happened again if we went ahead against NQF in the first half. Intelligent play. Every time it looks like Ifill did something wrong, there is always a simple explanation such as this.

Don't you mean 0 for Lochhead Whooo? McKain was very shaky early on, put one on a plate for Fowler, goal doesn't push him up that high for me probably 6. I actually would probably bring down most a notch or 2, although we won by 3, I really don't think we played that well, we ground it out though.

Agreed about McKain. Apart from that error his passing was below average, he got caught in possession on 2 or 3 occasions, and at one point he went on a foray way up field then simply passed the ball out under no pressure. Some vital interceptions though and a good goal.
