Sorry for stealing the thread but interested what people think?

Reddy 8.5 Great all night and unlucky to lose the clean sheet at the end
Hearfield 6 To me he wasn't as effective as other weeks, although he did win us a corner or two
Durante 7 Did the job. Was never really troubled
McKain 7.5 Great in the air. Scared me when he appealed for offside and forgot the game.
Lochhead 6 Not consistent with passing again, but did make some great inward runs 1st half
Muscat 8.5 Boy he was good last night. Closing down players with ease and getting an assist
Lia 6 Wasn't as dominant this game, think manny is now doing his job. Getting forward well though
Brown 6.5 Gets forward well and gets the goals, just seems to dissapear at times
Bertos 7.5 More dangerous this week, does stretch backlines and gets (semi) dangerous balls in
Ifill 7.5 No goals, but beats players with ease and creates space. Dangerous and should have scored
Dadi 9 Great goals. Magic and did his job almost perfectly, what a debut.

Caceres 7 Still dangerous but didn't get as long as I thought he should have
Diego 5 I can remember one good pass and one sh*te so thats a 5 outta 10 for me

Hearfield 6 is harsh. Just because he wasnt as effective as other weeks doesnt mean he wasnt still good. Id give him a 7

Reddy 8 Very good, especially considering he's obviously carrying an injury on his right side. That save off Van Dijk was huge.

Hearfield 6.5 Did alright, wasn't a standout but did keep Tommy Oar quiet which would've been his main job

Durante 6.5 Few too many long balls for my liking and they got in behind a few times

McKain 7 Needs to learn to not stuff around with the ball and get caught in possession - a few times he almost gave me heart attacks. Apart from that he was good

Lochhead 7 Was great going forward but a bit shaky defensively and made a silly header near half way that almost cost a goal

Muscat 8 Great game for Manny. He can't pass but damn can he tackle. After a few misplaced passes in the first 20 he came into his own and was  bit of a monster the rest of the game.

Lia 6 Decent game, wasn't sighted much. A few good long passes.

Brown 7 Got a goal, put in a decent shift. That is what he is there for.

Bertos 7 Still not back to his best but slowly getting better each week - great pass to Ifill for the 3rd

Ifill 7.5 He set up Dadi and could've had a couple of his own on a different night. Looked disappointed when he came off and that shows how high his standards are

Dadi 8.5 What can you say? Superb. I thought he took his time getting into the game but in that 2nd half he pushed himself bloody hard. Worked all night tracking back and lasted the 90 which people didn't think he would. Proved that 36 year olds can still be acrobatic. valeo2010-01-10 12:12:36

Muscat for me was superb. At times, our backline stretches as Hearfield and Lochy Press wide so Muscat drops in the hole between McKain and Durante to fit perfectly. It was great tactics imo. He also had pace to get back and cut out one of their attackers at one point.

He seems to be so good at practically walking into the attacker and cooly puts his body in the way and takes the ball. Does it so confiedntly as well.

For me, I'd be dropping Diego off the bench and putting Lia there when Greenacre is ready.

I thought the whole team generally played ok...but could have done better, Brisbane were by no means out of it and but for some good saves by Reddy it could have been a much closer game...Im still not convinced with the form that Bertos is showing, he's become very predictable with the 'step-over" and still does not look the player he was earlier in the season

i think with bertos, his problem is he is no longer running at the players as he was in the season, he was much more effective when running and taking players on, done in parts in this game, but the more he does it the better i think

Yeh you two have done well with the ratings. I would give Manny an 8, because of his poor first 15 min, where our defence gave far too many soft passes to be intercepted, but the rest of the game he was great.

Last night could have been described as Manny's greatest hits. He's suddenly become the angry man of the team. Maybe he doesn't like orange. Looked good going forward too after the slow start.

6 for Hearfield is harsh. Last time we played the Roar Tommy Oar ripped us apart but Hearfield didn't give him an inch and they eventually subbed him. However, that meant he didn't get forward as much as usual but I would say that was what his instructions were. In which case he had a bloody good game.

Yeah 6 is harsh for Hearfield i guess, but I don't think Oar was very near him at all in the first half, think he was more central like last week and then after half time he was more down the flanks??

I think Brown is underrated yet again.  When he "disappears" he is often covering for another player pushing forward.  He was talking to his back line quite a lot and of course getting forward when it mattered (and scored using his trade-mark non-foot part of the body).

Even so, he sells it well a lot of the time and his little stepovers give him the room to get crosses across such as for Dadi's second goal.

Dadi however is immense up front, we've played the ball up to him alot and he's really filling the targetman shoes, he holds the ball up and lays off some brilliant passes.  Not only that he's tracking back and chasing down players that tackle him - a comprehensive performance, lets hope he can keep it up.  My mouth waters at the prospect of him laying off to Greenacre - I get the feeling the we'll see the best of them when they're partnered up front (as they were at Tranmere).

Who remembers Peter "one trick" Beagrie (Sp?)?

I'm not sure about how people can offer McKain such a reach around for what seems to be pretty average playing. The guy gives me the sh*ts with his defending style. I hope Siggy can get back in and bring back that strong, sound and committed defence we had before Adrian Leijer decided to headbutt Siggy's fist.

I certainly think Muscat is playing well in that defensive mid role, and Hearfield, as much as i dont like him, is holding the RB position well.

So my ratings

Reddy 8 Good outing, solid defending, i think he helped he knew the Roar strikers pretty well
Hearfield 7 Solid, and growing on me.
Durante 7 Week on week solid and a great captain.
McKain 6 Played well, but boy did he offer the Roar some opportunities that should have been shut down
Lochhead 7 Was where he needed to be, when he needed to be there. A few lax passes, but then thats a whole team problem at the moment.
Muscat 8 Really like seeing him settle into this DM role, shut down the attack well, and wasn't afraid to cover for the defence when McKain did something silly
Lia 6 Was in and around a bit, but i think he needs to push forward a bit more, and make some plays, Handy Manny is covering the back well, so get up there.
Brown 7 Got forward well, would just want to see him getting a bit freer.
Bertos 8 Played well, was pretty dangerous with his runs, and i'd like to see us exploit that a bit more
Ifill 8 Great opportunities, and played off Dadi well. I think a bit more game time with the new setup will see him be deadly.
Dadi 9 2 great goals, causing havoc, slotted in well (although i missed one taking my 4yr old to the toilet) and he waved to Jake at the end of the match as well.

Caceres 7 Played well, and was awesome as a late set of fresh legs. A little too late in the game IMO though.
Diego 6 Would like to see him get a bit more of a run to really see what he can do.
