Not a bad effort, could well have won, but we didn't

Mossy 7, didn't have a lot to do
Rees 7, Good work, came forward well (Old please observe [from the bench])
Dodd 8 excellent, as usual
Old 4, Not only did he manage to clear it to the oppo all night, he also could have had a goal ruled out thru being offside again right in front of the keeper

Elrich 5, another lack of beating his man (did it once)
Locky 6, not as effective tonight
Felipe 8, looked to make things happen, a damn shame he was subbed off. Ricki has to learn to play the Brazilians TOGETHER
Lia 7, Really working well at present
Ferrante 6, did his job
Smeltzy 9, Just has the knack
Covs 6 had two good chances and blew them
Daniel 7, we needed him on for longer, what a difference when Elrich went off and he came on.
Johnno 6 slotted in

What do you reckon??

Moss - made one save, couldn't do much about the goal
Rees - looked alright going forward, lack of pace wasn't exposed
Dodd - VG again
Old - days are numbered - Kruse had a field day
Elrich - one of his better games, if only that cross found either Covs or Smeltz
Locky - didn't see much of him going forward, did alright trekking back to cover Kruse
Felipe - very good in the first 70 minutes, got a bit tired towards the end and then subbed
Lia - did some nice work in midfield
Ferrante - good passing in midfield, ALMOST scored his first goal
Smeltz - always a danger when he gets the ball, having a great season/year
Covs - blew that 1-on-1, he's never had a right foot
Daniel - made things happen when he got onto the field, we won't see him at home this season
Johnson - like his steadying influence in midfield

agree with the ratings and comments from both of you, clealry there's a pattern there

Rees and Dodd solid and anyone but lochy alongside them not so good

Lia and Ferrante did well against one of the better midfields in the league

Daniel added something,

Elrich did his party trick a little after Ricki had decided to take him off,  I guess
(for me Elrich doesn't show the commitment either in getting back quickly or in chasing balls that are only 25-75 and so the defenders get time on the goal line and aren't pressured into mistakes

Impressed by covs work rate and Smeltzy's finishing

felipe did well, he is a bit special - i'm not sure if we are getting the best out of him yet

With 5 men in midfield, Phoenix should dominate , and should play the ball thru there, not whack it over their heads the whole time.

Moss - solid 8
Rees - good work , just sold himself once or twice 7
Dodd - good defense, distribution still not the best 8
Old - got better second half 6
Elrich - not good enough, didnt look fit. 4
Felipe - excellent 8
Ferrante - never noticed him 6
Lia - settling in well 7
Locks - okay, got too far ahead of Old sometimes 6
Smeltz - good goal , looks cllass when he actually gets the ball, which is not that  often 7
Covs just didnt seem to have the legs when he needed them - 6
Daniel - changed the look of everything when he came on 8
