Sorry I've been Tardy!
Dear oh dear...
Moss 4 Worst game since he played in Auck franchise
Muscat 5 Cleaned out a coupe of times
Durante 5 Pushed around, poor organisation
McCain 6 Dumb tackle
Lochy 6 Great cross for the goal, other times was too far up the pitch, leaving the treacherous watery wasteland behind him for CBs to deal with
Daniel 6 Still looked to me most likely to create something for someone else
Troy 7 Did well
Johnno 6 Better than Dodd was
Ferrante 6 Better than last week, great gutsy header to clear line
Smeltz - 7 Must've been bloody frustrated with service
Kwasnik - 4 What does he bring the team??
Covs - 7 Hurray, prepared to take them on
Plodder ? did he touch the ball?
Was there another?
Hmmm, do you agree?

the sad thing is, with a lone striker, when the midfield doesn't fire, it makes him look bad, and when the fulbacks don't have their heads screwed in properly, the centre backs look incompetent.
I'm beginning to see why the central coast fans were so relieved to see kwasnik gone, he really should only be use as an impact player, like against Roar in preseason.
You know we belong together...

I don't know... Perhaps...
Moss 3 Great player - terrible game
Muscat 4 Got bullied by Allsop but a few not too bad runs up field
Durante 5 Not his best game
McKain 5       "          ''              Neither of the penalties made him look that flash.
Lockhead 5 Great cross for goal, some of his other delivery was similar to last week (i.e. straight to player)
Daniel 6 I actually thought his workrate was good until he came off. And definitely our most threatening player in midfield
Hearfield 7 Busy game, showed some nice skill beating some players
Johnson 5 Not too bad but not great
Ferrante 6 Header off the line was awesome, typified some real urgency in defence. Some nice passing as well.
Smeltz 7 Put away chance he got. Made a few nice runs that were unrewarded by poor delivery (a nice move with Kwasnik sticks out where Kwasniks last pass was miles too far).
Kwasnik 3 Was he playing?
Coveny 6 Great when he came on, although unconvinced that he could do it from the start
Plodder 3 That name suits him perfectly. Shouldn't be in midfield.

Spot on.

I'd add Herbert 4.  Poor tactics and dumb substitution (Daniel off not Cov on).
He dribbles a lot and the opposition dont like it - you can see it all over their faces. (Ron Atkinson)

Kwasnik is class and didn't play badly at all against Melbourne.  Some of the counter-attacks and attacking football he was involved in was brilliant to watch.

To be honest, I've never rated Kwasnik in the 3 seasons of the HAL. I've seen nothing to convince me otherwise. I'd love him to be the partner to Smeltz we all want him to be, I just cant see it.

He only looked good when the Nix defence gave him too much room last year, but yeh, I'm hoping to be proved wrong too.

Moss 5 Bad game but tough conditions for keepers
Muscat 4 failed to back up his decent previous performances
Durante 5 can't give him more than this when we conceded 4 goals
Mckain    5 "         "       "     "       '          "     "      "             "         "
Lochhead 6 the best of the back four for me.
Ferrante 6 solid but not particularly involved
Johnson 5 not influential at all
HEarfield 7 very good game
Daniel 6 Not his best game
Kwasnik 5 disappointing
Smeltz 7 took his chances

Daniel was out- muscled and out-cheated and Coveny sorted that out, good move by Mr Herbert I thought.

No way was Moss a 5 he gave away 2 goals and was generally shaky. Bad weather for keepers? strange their keeper seemed to deal with it without gifting us a couple of goals!
