Player ratings v Victory

Wasn't going to do these, but that conga line on TV jogged me....

Spoonley 5.5 Not very confidence inspiring but a goal after 30 secs would knock most keepers
Boxall 5.5 Loved seeing him get to the line and pull it back, but defence outplayed
Dura 6.5 Had to try and coordinate a very iffy defence
Adam 4.5 Did some good things but not ready for ALeague yet
Timmins 4 Disappointing, again
Lia 7 Our best on the night
Manny 6 Steady, looked better when Timmins was sent off
Kenny 5.5 A couple of exciting runs
Carlos 5.5 Was well contained by Tards
Boyd 5.5 Worked hard but not much happened
Brockie 6 Lovely goal, but not much else
Ridenton 6 Did well
Hicks 4.5 Yeh nah

YF 10 A great way to finish the season. Well done!

I'd move Kenny up to 7 he tried really hard.

I actually thought Adams did quite well against a good Melbourne Victory team playing with confidence after scoring in first minute.

Like a lot of our youngsters they have been asked to step up early and I can't wait to see what they can do next year for the Nix.

A poor effort all round. Thought Lia played reasonably well but not much from others, maybe Dura close. Our midfield was outplayed totally and if not for Lia would have been absolutely overwhelmed. Nice of brockie to turn up even if it was for the last minute or so

ps. Adams is so not ready for this level

Not saying he was brilliant, but I thought Adams was better than Timmins last night even before the red card, and Timmins was talked up as a great signing a few weeks ago. One poor performance in a team whose midfield was non-existent is not enough to pass judgement on a young centre back.

Pretty hard to rate anyone against Victory. We were gone after a few minutes and it was uphill from then on.

Thought Manny had a poor all round game. From what I can remember 1st half in particular: Caught in possession a number of times, lost his marker and then didn't track back. Poor options when passing ie to soft a pass or like a bullet to a player 10 yards away. Mind you, this sounds like most of the team.

Timmins- Not sure about him, put himself under pressure in defense,  ie taking to many touches, trying to beat his man even thou he was surrounded by 3 or 4 Victory players. Some poor long clearances aswell.

Dura- would like him to show the passion he showed when Timmins put he ball out against Adelaide when that player went down "injured". Needs to start slapping some of the players in front of him and himself sometimes.

At the prematch celebrity match I'd give Patrick a 4.5 and Tracey a 6. Best player out there was the Netball player.
