Paston 4, Moss is way better. Blew his opportunity.
Lochhead 5, Solid, yet not himself
O'Dor 6, He wasnt bad, pretty solid.
Old 3, Terrible doesn't have a clue.
Christie 4, Aimlessly gives away the ball way too much.
Felipe 5, Not bad, wasn't his game tho.
Daniel 6, Showed plenty of fight.
Aloisi 4, Hung back way too much. Another below average game.
Lia 3.5, Wasnt up to it as a CM.
Smeltz 7, Great game, My MOM>
Elrich 6, Not at full fitness, some good plays though.

Coveny 4, Tried his best.

I dont think Old is good enough for this level, not now, not ever.
Tim Brown should be starting centre midfielder. He's at his peak at not being played, Bad form Rikki.
I'd like to see Old, Aloisi and Lia not starting next week.
And for Brown to start.
I NEVER thought i'd say this but we miss Ferrantes passing.

Agree with most but dont see how you can give daniel 6,was he on the park in the 2nd half.

Daniel fluffed a easy as hell header on around the 70th min. Smeltz was the only player that can retain some sort of dignity after that game.

Yeah he was quiet. Just cant get over Ross Aloisi, he's having such an average season. And i dont get how one of the best players in the country, Brown, doesn't get a go at all.

Disagree about Lia, I thought he had a reasonable game.Dunno about Felipe being "Not bad" either, thought he had a shocker and did next to f**k all. Still it's all about opinions, eh?

Paston 4 - Not the game to introduce him. Didnt look confident. The sh*t infront of him doesnt help either. Talk about throwing him in at the deep end. Swirling wind, against the best attacking side in the league with the 3 muskateers infront of him. f**k me.
Lochhead 6 - We played a 1-4-2. Tony was the 1.
O'Dor 4 - With Dodd, hes acceptable. With his other muskateers, he drops to their level.
Old 0 - I give ratings based on what they do well. He didnt do anything well.
Christie 3 - Shows the defender the line way too much. Worse than O'Dor but not quite as bad as Old.
Felipe 5 - Was not influential.
Daniel 6- Some wayward passing, always trying to get involved.
Aloisi 5 - Defence needed more help
Lia 5 - Did his bit. prefer him on the wing.
Smeltz 10 - Sign him up to a long term contract before other clubs come fishing.
Elrich 7 - Apart from Smeltz, only other player that looked consistently dangerous.

Ricki - 3. Not ideal conditions to start Pasto to say the least. started the 3 muskateers. No Johnson at CB. Oh dear. Couldve told you the consequences of those actions before the game.

agreed, for mine Smeltzy, Lochead, Lia, (Daniel and ODor - perhaps) did ok but once again it's hard to judge the off-the ball running of players from the tv (eg Aloisi covering, Elrich into space)

Paston pulled off a wonderful double save lateish first half, but his decision-making when coming out was questionable

But the rest well lets start at the back. Big mistake plaing Patson ahead of Mossy whose played well considering the lack of defence. I'm a fan of Lockhead but tonight neither him or Christie pushed up like they have done in previous games. There's no pace in the back four, how many times have we been beaten by a simple through ball!!
Lia is average. The midfield hasn't worked together or fallen back when appropriate. And when ever we are going forward we are always facing the wrong way and playing it back then a wild ball over the top. Aloisi is very over rated he's slow and lacks skill.
Ok we've got some Brazilian flair but they lack agression and passion. Daniel's always falling over. Vaugh Coveny super sub. YEA RIGHT. Costa Babaros the young guy should be on the bench atleast. He's quick and has enthusiasm which is essential.
Just look at Queensland Roar and the young guys theyve bought in up front; they add a new dimension to the game as well as speed.
Elrich and Filipe were quiet but thats understandable. I guess we are still a new team but we are better than the team that played tonight thats for sure.
I'm coming over for the Sydney game on jan 4th so hopefully Ricky sorts them out by then. Sydney looked good today.
Atleast it wasn't another 2-1 loss looking at the positive side! We've stopped that trend.
If we win one of the next two then I'll be happy. Frustrated at the moment though!!!
