Weird as watching that game I thought we were outplayed for half that game. Almost the worst performance of the season yet the most comprehensive scoreline. Guess that's football. City should have been 2 up after the first 20. That said we have played a lot better and been unlucky so will take the points.

Agree with most of the ratings above. Feels like a 6/10 performance. From an U 20 perspective I'd prefer to see Ridenton or Rufer given some time in midfield ahead of A Rod. He was patchy at best.  Roly has some very silky skills... Probably up there with A Leagues best at present.

Was good to see some more width today which varied the attack. Merrick clearly plugged that hole this week. Next one is doing things at  pace on and off the ball, esp through transition.

A goal turned the game inside out.

Siggy was great, so was Krishna. I thought Riera was excellent again too.

Im not too sure whose mistakes led to their chances in the first half, I will have to watch the replay.

Im afraid Kenny was absolutely nowhere when he came on, except in an offside position

Thought 5.5 for Alex is very rough. Put in a solid performance today, been said many times before but he does do all the work that no one really notices. A lot of defensive covering when Manny and Doyle were bombing forward and set up a couple of great chances.

From memory our CMs were either getting pushed off the ball (Rodriguez) or fluffing passes (Riera).  City kept pinging the ball to Duff who was mostly offside, but looked  more dangerous coming straight down the middle.  Siggie and Manny were rocks at the back and kept them out quite a few times.

Kenny combined well with Roly (before he was subbed).

A-Rod was far from our worst. Very harsh giving him a 5.5. I would put him up there with roly

Aleague site has Riera at 91.5% accuracy from 71 passes yesterday. I do recall a couple of passes that were particularly bad but that's the highest accuracy I recall seeing from him this season.

I thought siggy put in a really good shift and would bump him up .5 I also thought Rodriguez played bloody well but then I was sitting where I was close (as you can get in that stupid stadium) to the side watching him burst out to cover the wide ball and give Manny that connecting option in the first half was great. I thought many had a 4/10 first 30 mins (bad first touch, stupid passes and giving the ball away) but more than made up for it after that with some brilliant work I just wish he was a bit faster especially getting back after he bombs forward

We could win 10-0 and people would still dish out 5/10 ratings this thread is pointless!

Moss a 6? He had to make some saves early on....

I think if you erase the 1st 30, everyone looks better. I was in the echo chamber (match thread) and posted more than a few times that Riera kicked the ball away in the 1st 30. Then that goal changed everything.

Just prior to that goal, I made a comment that McGlinchey and Krishna were the only 2 putting in worthy Phoenix performances. You then saw the cliche of how 1 goal can change a game cause I think without that 1 goal, it would have been different result I believe. Its like the Heart were a balloon and all the air got let out at once.

I really don't get the bagging of A-Rod. I thought he was soft on the ball but again, does a job and does it well.

Winning by a huge margin doesnt always mean the players played great, I respect your opinion that the thread is pointless to you but I personally like it and like the banter as people point out things I might have missed and make me re think things. I think while our win was great and an awesome margin a lot of players could still be playing better and I think the 6/10's reflect that.

Yes we had a win, Yes it was a good win but no we werent anywhere near perfect.

How many more games will Krishna need to play well before an enormous humble pie is baked up for 99% of this forum?

I for one feel it's not too soon for me to gloat ;)

That boy's got it.

I'm not too proud to admit that I've got the spoon near the mouth.

I said something last week (I think in the Fitzgerald thread) that I am about to look like a dick over Krishna. That's fine. I'm happy to have a player play well and me be wrong about their ability.

Yep. Happy to take a spoonful of that.

Still not the finished article, but has shown a whole heap of upwards curve in the last few games.

At times he looked a bit rueful when the goals were going in

Thanks Jeff Vader for being the only one to call BS on the 6 for Mossy. He was immense.

I am very pleased to see my preseason call fro Krishna to start coming up roses now. Having said that he has made massive strides since the pre season. In particular his balls into the box from out wide are much much improved. He seemed to be a finisher/scavenger earlier (with good finishing) but his creativity has upped massively. His assists in the last few games have been really classy. And OH HOW we need good service into the box from out wide. It is a joy to behold.

Rodriguez was really good last night. Definitely not a 5.5.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Ernie's taught him to look up and pass. Only took 8 months.

It's the standard response for players from the ASBP that most have never seen play e.g Riera and Krishna.... "Ah, who the F%^K is this nobody from a nothing league that I never watch... Oh really"

It's really odd how infrequently you pop up generally, but how consistenly you jump in at the slightest mention of the ASBP.

Has anyone seen the Eddie Murphy gag from Delirious about super mom radar hearing (the shoe throwing gag). I feel like that's alireggae. Superhuman radar keeping an ear out for whiffs of ASBP so that when the time comes BOOM, here's the proverbial shoe in the face.
