Wow another great result, built on some terrific performances

Mossy 7 Did the job well
Fenton 7 Some dodgy moments that could have cost us, but got better and better, another assist
Siggy 8 Great game, covered everyone, did his own job superbly
Dura 7.5 Solid, won some good headers
Manny 6 Struggled manfully with his injury
Riera 7 Held midfield together well
Lia 7.5 Excellent job, nice passes
Mikey 7 Better than the last few weeks, lovely linking play
Roly 8 Really put the acid on their defence, was often double-marked
Griffiths 6 Good effort, partly at fault for their goal, along with Louis, but otherwise kept their defence busy
Roy 8 Worked his ars off, two goals, could've got a 9 with a layoff  early on
Boxall 6 Did the job
Hicks 6 Also, did the job
Doyle 5 Did the job required too

Ernie 9 We were doubters, this team are humming

Chris Beath 8 Let the game flow, didn't do any dumb decisions or get sucked into anything

Do you agree?

Oi Oi Edgecumbe... lets have a clean sheet

Lia was superb in the 38mins I viewed

Great way to mark 150 games

Congragulations Vinny.

Wee Mac seemed to be dropping deeper to get the ball than in previous weeks. I wonder if this had to do with A-Rod not playing?

seemed to switch positions with Roly at some point- or play deeper and more left sided?

Generally yes, although there were a couple of times he blew for a foul when he should have played advantage - both times I thought he was going to pull out a card but just gave them a talking to. Why stop the game for that?

Pretty much agree. Dura and Siggy were amazing.  If Dura doesn't get called up for the OFC qualifying in this form then Hudson needs a slap he's playing his ass off.

Agree Durante is playing very well.

I felt his short comings have been badly exposed at International level, that boat may have sailed without him.. :-(

Part of the reason why Durante is playing well at this level is that he has a good understanding with Sigmund. Can you say that of a back line partner whom you would rarely play with? Same with some striker combinations.

Also, the AWs have had such massive issues with finding a DM that our CBs have on occasion been left horribly exposed by the lack of cover in front of them. Same thing happened to Sigmund and Durante for the Nix last year when Riera got injured

I think the main reason is that Riera is playing very deep and protecting him and Ben from players with pace and this has worked well up until now.

Good point Leggy, did notice how deep Riera has been playing.

I was really impressed with the midfield. Felt they bossed the centre of the park.

I like Fenton for his work rate, not a natural defender but man he does a power of running.

I thought our worst player was Manny.

Can't recall another game where Manny has ever been described as the worst player... Mr Consistant.

A great sign in a twisted round about way.

Had to have an injection at half time for the pen call, so perhaps that was a factor.

I still struggle to see how that wasn't a penalty.  Commentators dismissed it so quickly but to me he got fair smashed in the back while on the ball.  Wasn't many replays shown, so I could be wrong.

Agreed. He was on the ball and the defender went through him. I would not have been arguing if Siggy had done the same thing in our box and a pen was given.

It was certainly more of a penalty than at least two of the three given in the Sydney v Roar game.

Was a blatant pen. There were softer fouls given during the game outside the box.

If Siggy did that down the other end would be a pen all day.

Really up there as one of the best DM in the league. Is both a passer and destroyer - not many DMs in the league do both, normally have one of each next to each other.
