Cheers Tony :)

Don't forget to mention it to Mr Dewhurst when you're on (and our new strikers of course)

His contract ends in June, and he is still training with the phoenix but apparently no further decisions about his contract have been made.

I'd like to read that he has been offered/signed an extension so we know he is staying past June.

Mum, when did you want a visitation of his autographed jersey? I'll even let you touch and sniff it!
Proud to have attended the first 175 Consecutive "Home" Wellington Phoenix "A League" Games !!

Get a room please ppl!

I'd be guessing it depends on who they can sign... ie: Plodder is Plan B/C/D or E... for what it's worth (admittedly, very little) I'd be happy to see him stay as a squad player though I can understand from his perspective it isn't going to help his career any hanging around here and waiting for sporadic opportunities to plant his bum on the pine... and if he wants to be involved in the NT he needs to be playing regularly, for his own sake and ours... and as we don't have a reserve/youth option...

With Lia back in the fold he'l slip even further down the pecking order.  him but for the sake of the AWs hope he finds a decent side where he can get regular gametime

He got more game time towards the end of the season. A good player to have around to close a game down when we are in frontwith 20 to go. I'm hoping he'll be seeing a lot more game time this year. I a;so think he might be good for away games when we do a lot of counter attacking, he could shut the oppo down then too whilst the wide boys do their thing.

rate him ahead of Ferrante and when he did come on he was great.

I'm not quite sure what happened to ferrante. On paper pretty much all the players we have are more than capable. The delivery though is a different thing. I even entertained the idea of Ferrante up front to annoy the crap out of the opposition defence.

On the subject of Ferrante, Ricki persisted with him last year despite some pretty lackluster performances.... IMHO he did not fit the bill for the 3rd MF role when Brown and McKain were playing holding roles... I agree with Gunner on paper and technically Ferrante has the goods.. I still think he can hit the best long pass in our team buthe just goes missing.. hence we dragged in Fred to fill the gap... question... will Diego keep Ferrante out of the starting 11?
