Similarly, a massive THANK YOU to Scott Robson for coming into the squad at late notice.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Yeah, leaving aside my cry baby action, should be a good game.  Get to see Phoenix trialists, some of the top Central League/NZFC players from this part of the country, and a chance to see whether the cold will turn Ricki's remaining black hair grey.

A host of other B and C list Phoenix celebrities will be there - David "Chrome" Dome, John "Chain Smoker" Mitchell, Mal "The Diver" Impiombato, Luciano "Sly Stalone" Trani, Angry Gouldy and, of course, Retro Ricki Herbert.

Game kicks at 7 with a kids' curtain raiser game at 4.45

If I wasn't home on Sick leave and getting over a flu and being completely unifit and 48 years old, I'd have offered to help you out Smithy. Best of luck with the game and i know how you feel about last minute withdrawls (Other than through obvious injury).
Proud to have attended the first 175 Consecutive "Home" Wellington Phoenix "A League" Games !!

Going to watch Henders fall over three hundred times, either that or score a 25yard screamer. Could go either way. Unpredictable lad he is.

I see it's now 2-2, still pretty poor though.

Last kick equaliser for the 'Nix.

Daniel and McKain looked class in the first half. When they went off, Phoenix were pretty average.  Muscat was the only one at the back who looked totally secure. The All Stars should have had more, went right through one against the keeper early on in the second half, some pretty dodgy defending.

Apart from a super 25 yard strike from Daniel, the Nix didnt create a lot.

The All Stars played very well and were unlucky not to win.

Was it Hearfield with the equaliser ?

I thought it was the short triallist (not Luis).

I didnt think it was Hearfield.
I didnt know the scorer, he looked pretty pleased so I guess it was a triallist?

Yeah, he and the (rubbish) shaven headed centre back I have no idea who they were.  They were both at Newtown last week as well.

Was Luis the rather unfit looking shorter bloke in the first half crusing around the front third? (with seemingly little direction, enthusiasm, or motivation)...?

He did NOT have a good game!
Who was the shaven headed guy in midfield who played the first hour?

Vinnie Lia.

...and yes Surge, came back on late as well.

It's going to be a long couple of days with Smithy around.

Wasnt Hearfield, he crossed the ball.

Both Aaron Scott and Andy Barron playing at the back for the Nix in the 2nd half.

First half:
Crowther
Mully - Aaron Scott - Muscat - Rubbish triallist
Daniel - Lia - ?? - ??
Costa - Luis

The others will come to me.

Lia? God never recognised him.

I though Luis did alright, he was in it far more than Krishna in the second half, who looked like he was having trouble just standing up.
