YF.

I am stocked, it was awesome.

But the after match stuff, .real lump in from stuff, heart pumping, like ACDC Shook me all night long,

It hard to describe, the Central Coast is full of leagues clubs and is referred to as one of the heart land areas of rugby league.

Last night after the match the crowd was pumped .massively pumped. We beat the Scum in a match no one expected us to win.

Walking down the stairs after the match I saw a sight I never through I would ever see. The leagues club across the road has a car park next to it and is only over the street from Bluetounge. Well hanging out of the car park where ever they could were fans waving flags, the whole street turned into one giant party.

Scenes of pure joy, young and old embracing, hugging, songs and cheering.

The attached link is photos some people took, from our fans forum have a look. I just clicked and my link goes to the end of the thread so scroll up.

Hope you enjoy, and you guys can share this emotion sooner rather than latter.

PS to valeo thats for the congs on the match thread

To anyone in NZ who is not a football fan and reads this.

BE ADVISCED WHATEVER DOUBTS ANYONE EVER HAD THAT THE MARINERS COULD NOT SURVIVE ..WE NOW HAVE A DEEP ROOTED SUPPORT OF A GROWING FAN BASE WITH INCREASING LOCAL MEDIA SUPPORT, PREHAPS THE BEST YOUTH DEVELOPMENT IN THE REGION. WE ARE NOT GOING ANYWAY AND NEITHER IS FOOTBALL

mate i couldnt be more pleased for the coast. having spent much of the first half of the season there i felt the growing presence of the mariners in the pubs and in the malls. people were talking football and loving the mariners. i think for most of us they are our 2nd team so come on you salty dogs in the gf

great job. Can't wait for the nix to get somewhere near this. The model looks the same - set up in an area dominated by another code, grow the fan base, get media onside, develop youth, win!. Our youth development is a wee way away (thanks to the FFA and NZF) but all else is on track. Top 4 next season might be a little ambitious for us but hell what a dream to be chasing.

Must confess I let rip with a "Yeeeesssss" when the 3rd goal went in. Good luck in the final, no matter who you're playing. I think I know which side most of the Nix fans will be on

Enjoy the feeling, we look forward to actually taking some points off you next season.

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

well done mariners for getting to the finals, everyone in oz wrote you guys off, especially after getting beat 2-0 in the 1st leg, you deserve to get in the finals as to be honest you have been the best team all season and have justified that already by finishing top of the league, looking forward to next season when the phoenix give you guys a challenge!

Good Luck in the final.

Yeah Melbourne are my 2nd team by default because I live here (don't really like em much though..) but I respect what CCM are doing with their club. They don't always play the best football imo but they are one of the most well run off the pitch and the most stable.

fair enough greater public humiliation for them to get whipped before a final-sized tv audience

you'll hear the cheer from here if the bollock puncher (finally) gets sent off for diving

and if you play Qlnd, Seo can get his just desserts

Salty Dogs to win 7-0 in the final. they claim that they have the highest score line in a-leauge history.
they get to the final the next year and they loose 8-0 to the one and only wellington phoenix with smeltz scoring 4 and costa, vecilech and james scoring one each

A- league finals will keep getting better 1-0, 6-0, 7-0, and the phoenix will win 8-0, 9-0, 10-0 and of coarse 11-0 until the Ffa ban phoenix from the final for 2 years

I reckon we need Brendon McCullum and Jesse Ryder up front for the Nix next year!

Oi Oi Edgecumbe... lets have a clean sheet

I have to admit, I almost creamed myself when I saw Joel leave the pitch with a sad expression on his face.
No I mean litterally, I almost had an orgasm!
