Dura-bunny Veitch has been saying on Radio Rugby their has
only been 2000 pre sales to the Phoenix Tards game.
Can anyone confirm, and is this of concern.
Veitch isn't big on football at the best of times, so the
morning show is a bit of a sl*g session against the beautiful
game.
Also will the big Warriors game on TV affect attendance?

The Dom says there are 7000 tickets sold so far- including season
tickets

I just read that on the fabulous stuff site.
Just goes to show the anti-football bias of the f*cking Radio
Rugby tw*ts.

Heard Tony on ZB news say there were 7,000 pre sold and
expecting a large walk up crowd.

I guess that guarantees at least 10,000 but 15,000 could be a bit
optimistic.

big promotions today and tomorrow, so 15,000 is still a
possibility.
Weather is looking good as well.

We know at least that we will have more the Counties game last
night and by the sounds of it there may be more than the Shield
game at North Harbour.

10,000 plus would still be a good acheivment im coming up from chch
for it :-D

does anything think 28 bucks to go is quite alot to pay?

Not for one game.
If people plan on going to all the matches, the season pass
averages out to $18 per game, which is damn good.

$26 at ticketek, they added a $3 charge on what should be a $23
ticket if you get one before the game day i guess.
and i think its reasonable for a ticket, i dont know how much a rugby ticket would cost but im assumng its about the same, and with football you even get an extra 10 minutes or more of game time to watch so good value for money.
and theres still today and tomorrow to sell tickets as well so it could go up yet so 15k may be a goer.

but yeah if your going to all the games a season pass would be the best idea

The ticketek booking fee is $6.00 no matter how many tickets you
buy. So if you get six people together you only pay $24.00 (6
tickets at $23.00 + the booking fee divided by 6).

I think they should have made the first couple of games $20.
Still better value to get a season ticket, but a cheaper price
would make the 'curious' people more interested

2000 pre-sales only. Add the members and corporate
guests, corporate box, etc... we are at 7,000. On target
for 12 - 15k.

I think (may be wrong - it's happened before!), but don't the
A-League have some say in the price of tickets???

i also saw in one of the smaller papers this week (city life wellington north) on page 4 they have a double spread on the phoenix, and i've seen other articles and such in other community papers (the wellingtonian, the norwester) as well, generally very positive stories too!
a bit unrelated to the thread, anywho ...

After speaking with Ticketek today, I can confirm that 17,000 have
been pre sold, so hopefully we get a good walk up crowd of around
5-8,000.
Would be great
