For Wellington's next home game (December against Melbourne)

There has to be a sizeable difference after we've qualified :)

My prediction: 9467

You'd hope so. But i dunno. Maybe if it was this weekend...but 3 weeks later?

Think your prediction is about right,9k.

I'm optimistic. I'm gonna say 11k.

my "entrails of fish" method - usually quite reliable (unless I use frozen fillets) would suggest 13-14k.

A bit of margin for error because it depends on if pluto is entering uranus

Ahh. Obviously you use chicken entrails (I've found they over-estimate).

I reckon 10k. I must have heard at least a dozen people during the game and later on in town say they couldn't believe the atmosphere and the rugby is nothing like that. I leant over a few times and said that's what its like every week at the Phoenix...well in the 'Zone' anyway...

Assuming the Phoenix can put the Jest away on the 22nd I'll go with just over 12 000.

i really hope we get 12K or more - i do think we'll get at least 10K if we win 1 of our 2 away games and at least draw the other

crap scheduling by A-league

but whatever the number i just wanna be back in our zone singing my heart out

Should definitely push 10k, if not more!!

As I saw in the match souvenir from last night, it's the last game at the ROF for a month too, so fans will be coming!!

Can't say i share your guys optimism. I would love to think so. But then after the Crowd that showed up to the Perth Glory game under 7k, there was no excuse.

In two weeks the media gloss will have somewhat fallen off the All Whites. Lets hope they pick it up by covering the Nix.

7-8 i predict. (But would absolutely love to be proved wrong.)

All Aboard the Phoenix/ All Whites Bandwagon!!

Hopefully with the Blackcaps playing a test that day people might decide to make a big day of it. Hoping for over 10k, but probably around 9k ish.

just checked the ticketek site - looks like there are specials on for kids to come free with a paying adult for the 9 Jan game vs brisbane.

i think something like this happened last year too.

I think 7-10k is pretty much what the Phoenix can expect for the rest of the season.

Melbourne is a Friday game, and we usually get bigger crowds for those then the not so great 5pm Sunday ones. In fact, looks like we've had our last Sunday game, so all Friday and Saturday night games from now on.

Actually,i think this season has shown that sunday games bring just as much of a crowd as friday games. Which is interesting. I think its because people are used to the games being on sunday now,and its almost traditional that sunday = phoenix

Well ill be getting groups in that week. Friends from uni are finally back in town, also college kids might be finished all their exams by then. So I'm gonna say 12k. If we push it.

"Did you miss out on seeing the historic All Whites?"
"Well nows your chance to get a look at all the heros of Nov 14th"
"Dont risk missing anything else"

lol

But I think they can market it right and get a bumper crowd. Also think that the Palmy game will get big numbers if marketed the same way

8-9 my guess, but if we are in the hunt for play-offs later in the league it could swell to 15 for a key match

interesting - if the Palmy 'home' game was here or the Dec 4 game had been in a weekend day - then i reckon that woiuld have been the time to capitalise on All White fever with that kind of marketting deal

Depends on the next two games.  But still, the advertising potential is there:
See Cup-bound All Whites Bertos, Lochhead, Paston, Brown and Sigmund play this weekend etc etc

10,207 (+1k per each win between now & then)

I'm hoping football is on the up, so I'm going to say 11K+ for all the remaining home games to help Terry S break even on the season.

Plus the Phoenix reaching the Top 4, having a home play-off game

I don't think there will be much of an increase, maybe 8k. Us out of towners find the Friday games tougher to get to. Gotta travel for 2+ hours each way. Everyone i have spoken too watched or listened to the game but arent gonna ever go to a nix game in Wellington.

What ever the crowd number is on 4 Dec I'm sure the AW Nix players will get a huge reception, especially Paston.

I'm taking the day off work and will be driving down from Palmy to make a day of it.  There should be at least 10k there.
