'Prediction is very difficult, especially about the future' - Niels Bohr. Maybe.

What do you think will happen in the coming A league season?

No new signing (from now) to get more than 0.4 goals per game. In other words, we won't sign a better striker than Kalu.

Mininum 10 appearances.

We'll finish ahead of Central Coast again but our licence will be questioned again and they'll get away scott-free.

CCM to get playoffs, because they actually made an effort to be better than last year

Permalink Permalink

City will  be talked up as winner contenders and then finish 3rd and lose in the playoffs again.

Newcastle will come back down to earth

Sydney and Victory will dominate.

Nix will finish last.

Williams to get more game time (minutes played/minutes available - to allow for injury etc) than Burns.

Williams to get more goals/minute than Burns.

This is what I think also.

- Brisbane to win

- Nix last

- Nichols to leave before season ends

- Williams top scorer with 8

- Newcastle bottom 3

Sydney Win

Nix win first game of the season and false hope arises. They then go on a winless run untill Febuary. A couple of wins give them a mathematical chance and forum posters cling on in desperation before Krishna gets a broken leg and the wooden spoon is ours

My prediction is that a Nix player is going to score a bicycle kick this season. Remember this

This section should be titled 'Speculation' or 'Conjecture'. Having said that, I predict that the Phoenix will be better this season than last season. I for one am looking forward to the first game of the new season and will be trying my utmost to get at least ten others along to the game. If all our hard core supporters (3000-4000?) could do the same we could give the team the support I predict they will deserve!

7th but missing out on the playoffs by a distance, just like two seasons ago. In fact I'm predicting the exact same table as the 2016-17 season but swap Syd with Vuc

I was going to predict "Rudan to achieve sainthood after one season with Nix" but this is not in the otherwise excellent  survey poll by RR.

Actually, getting outplayed quite a bit these days

I predict the Lowy family will start a rival league made up of former NSL clubs.

I kind of like Andy harper. He's passionate, and recently he's been one of the better guys towards the nix. If it's Simon Hill and Andy harper calling a nix game I'm fairly content. It's Robbie Slater for me who's the absolute pits.

He's definitely extremely pro-Sydney FC though.

I think theres a difference between pro Sydney and having huge admiration for sydney. As a neutral (which he is in theory), Sydney have been damn impressive to watch over the last two years. Hill is a Man City fan so is used to seeing world class football, and with bobo, mierzejewski and Ninkovic they've been the closest thing in Australia to that level. Or at least I hope that's what it is

How is Andy Harper a neutral at all? He was the CEO of Sydney FC at the start of the A-League.

Anyway, I don't care if you're a neutral or not (our commentators certainly aren't), I just hate poor commentary under the guise of neutrality.

FOX is aweful. The commentators try to add artificial excitement, fake praise player or teams to create some hype. Then they constantly replay fouls or offsides to create controversy but all they expose is they have no clue about rules. FOX also down on camera angles in recent years, it‘s all bare minimum overall they present the whole event not as good as it could be. Sharkty commentary, average images.
