Tomorrow from 12pm at Civic Square the Phoenix are promoting next weeks events with a bit of a gig- heaps of giveaways and a band! Get in there!

Would be good to get along, support the club and start firing up for next weeks football-beckham-stravaganza.  We want the whole city talking about it in the same way that first match againt Melbourne was.  Fire it up people!!

Thanks to Wellington Phoenix FC, Wellington City Council, ZM and Coca-Cola- we are excited to bring you a free lunch time gig today at Civic Square from Noon.

It's OdESSA playing as well. 

Have not caught them with the new guitarist but generally they are one of the best live shows going.

bugger,too far to drive from wanganui, the only problem of being an out of town nix fan is you miss all these types of events and miss out on meeting the players

Arrived there at around 12:20, OdESSA was just getting started and some ZM people were walking around handing out pump bottles.  Hung around as long as I could but had to get back to the Terrace and didn't see much phoenix stuff cept a few scarfs and banners >.>

Phoenix players weren't there, which was bit of a bummer as I wanted to wish them well for the Melbourne match, hopefully I'll catch them at the airport or something. Aside from that, the band was awesome, one of the guitarists was wearing a Phoenix scarf, lots of people having a good time, was awesome to chill out with Critical Lemon and the Hard News family. All in all a good day.

I talked about the most exciting Phoenix moment (1st game of the season vs Melbourne)

Odessa were great, they're such a good live act. Kids dancing down the front were class too.

Might be best to give us a few more days notice in future so people can arrange their schedules ...

I was talking to Odessa's drummer afterwards (know him through a couple of music things I'm involved with) and they're all into their football and big fans of the 'nix. He was gutted they haven't been able to make the last couple of games because of touring.
One of them was at the game last night apparently.


Was nice to meet Rob and the Hard News family too.

Gah players werent there. Owell pretty good day, the band was great.

My mate won a double pass to the Galaxy game, he was the one who poured the coke down his sock.

That was great. I thought the next guy should have tipped his down his shirt. That probably would have got him the win.

band was great i enjoyed them

but there were not loads of give aways and no phoenix players
and as i already have a beckham ticket and i like my hair the way it is i didn't even think about the coke challenge.....well maybe only a wee bit
