Question, well more of a reiteration...
I was having a talk with someone yesterday at the game and they were suprised to learn that the Phoenix don't make money from the crowds they bring in directly through ticketing...
That's right isn't it?
After I told them that I realised I wasn't actually sure if I was correct there.
But there's some sort of catch isn't there?

Also, our funding, is it strictly from Terry and sponsors or do NZ Football or anyone else help out a little bit?

Sorry I tried to do a search but couldn't find the answer.

Just the finals series.  They are run by the FFA.

As far as I am aware, Terry, TV dollars, gates, and sponsorship.

My understanding is that the club received NOTHING for being in the finals.  No bonus payment or anything.  FFA arrange all the games and pocket all the revenues.  All clubs in the same boat on this point.

NZF don't contribute.  Sponsors obviously do, and the main revenue would be from the FFA tv deal, with the rest coming out of Terry's pocket.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Does this mean we own Adelaide and Brisbane after the crowds for these last two games?

do we get anything from merchandise (the a league stuff) or does that too go to the FFA?

We would get Merch profits I'd say.

That would be why the club made those shirts? Cash in on the buzz and make a dollar or two out of it.

Yeah, sold through the FFA percentage is small.  Sold through club shop much greater.

Your lack of understanding could be fixed if you visited the A-League site and learnt a little more about how the A-League is run instead of just guessing.

What Smithy said,as far as I know,is general knowledge rather than guessing. Is that wrong?

Allegedly

What you've missed is that Nightz has to pop in every once in a while and be a know-it-all whether he does know-it-all or not.

Think of him as Petone's Diego's Son.

Caved in and got a YF Finals Tee (first time) as a souvenir and was really impressed with it's "Lynx effect".

It attracted all sorts of chicks to smirk and tell me that they liked my T-shirt.

(How would you like it off?)

Possibly.

Sadly nothing can help you because you're a f**king retard and no amount of research will change that.

Reds and Roar supporters should all be cheering for us.. We bring the crowds which means more money for FFA which means better funds for those clubs in particular I would imagine.
