Reporter to Paul Ifill:

So Paul, you've played on the worlds biggest stage in an FA Cup Final against David Beckham's former team Manchester United. How does that compare to playing at FMG Stadium?

Wembley's okay mate  but there's not a Science museum within walking distance, give me Palmerston any day mate!

Paul Ifill's answer

Big ups to the management for bringing the team here!
Nature lovers and families will enjoy the many parks and scenic walks.  Victoria Esplanade Gardens on Fitzherbert Avenue is a must see.  The 19 hectares of gardens feature spectacular plant displays, an international rose trial garden, aviaries, a nature trail, a fernery, conservatory, walkways, mini railway, a childrens playground, paddling pool, an education centre, a caf and free electric barbecues.
Forget FA cup finals mate football dosent get and bigger or better than this mate!

So if you score a "goal" that counts as one point right?

Well, after living in palmy for a few years I have learnt 3 things, they are crap at rugby around here, they are pretty into football, and most people who were born here are pretty cocky. Therefore I predict to pretty much any player

"So, we have this team here called Youngheart, I think they might be willing to give you a shot. you keen?"

Ifill's response to seeing some wierd guy in a RR t-shirt asking him questions: "SECURITY!!"

Would be interesting to see what the local rag has to say before the game.Ard Righ2009-11-29 16:57:50

Thought you would miss the point and come back with an irrelevancy, though this isn't a competition.
The promotion of the game is the point. Whatever the place.
Its very bad form for supporters to take the piss out of a place they are directly promoting the game. If I lived there and read some of the crap being dished out by (some of) the clubs supporters. My answer would be, F them, just f off back to Wellington you wan*ers!
Fans should get out there in the community and support!
And all those softcoc*ks who want to run home straight after the game with there tail between thier legs should stay home, with a nice warm blanket and a cup of baby formula.
P.S. I don't think this is the place to start being self rightous about Auckland, do you?

Auskiwi.

I lived there for nine years and have very fond memories of the place and some great workmates.

It's still worthy to take the michael - infact it would be more of a worry if we didn't give a rat's @rse about going there.

I was just wanting to make sure I knew the rules on who and what I could make fun of or otherwise.

One more clarification. Does this mean I'm not allowed to make fun of Australia and its citizens? Phoenix occasionally play there too, so just want to make sure I don't step on any toes...
