Where's the "All of the above" option?

Ross was quality in the commentary box tonight.

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

he needs to get involved with the team some way or another. He would have been pretty f**ked off if that had happened last year.

why don't we get rid of all the current players and staff, and replace them with Ross?

Why do people think that Ross would be great as a manager or CEO?  what is that based on?

And before people start saying that he cannot do any worse than what is currently there - he can.  A lot worse.

As a side note, I think the world of Ross, and spent a lot of time defending him last season when he was getting sl*gged off for being too slow (again - the obsession here with pace) and not scoring 5 goals every game.

think most people voted with tongues in cheeks, well I sincerely hope so, I voted as I thought his punditry was a breath of fresh air. He was still slow last year.

He certainly wasn't shy in letting us know what he thought of Gao. Also very positive about Ferrante. I think he could get the players motivated somehow and I mentioned during the great slump at the start of the season that he would be the one to get in and talk to the guys. He knows most of them.

That's a ,little harsh.  I'm sure Ross will admit he's not going to win a Nobel prize in physics, but to call him Plain and Simple seems a little harsh.

Liked him as a comments man.  No qualifications at all to be a manager though.

Amusing how he referred to the Nix as "we" - god bless him.

Deduct points for talking up Greene.  Absolutely no prize for guessing he'd be at 4 Kings!

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Bring him in as Assistant Manager to put a rocket up Ricki and the Players!

Clone him, put out a starting 11 of Aloisi clones, with a bench full of Aloisi clones, Managed and Coached by Aloisi clones.

Then chuck a bunch of Aloisi clones in the FZ...

Problem solved!

I love Stevo's videos, twice in eight days have they cheered me up the day after a dissapointing loss. And I'm all for cloning Ross, though I'm not sure how he'd go in goal.

They always are.
Whether it happens tommorow or in 10 years I'd like to see Rossy have some sort of position in the coaching/management, what a leader!
You know we belong together...

To be honest Ricky really didn't have much in the way of qualifications when he became AWs manager in 04 if you remember, and to be honest other then picking up a gimmie Nation's Cup he's not really improved his CV that much

oh... kinda off topic like but he hates me on FM08 where I stole his job as AW and Welli manager after he was dumped by them both!

Hmmm, that's not true.

Prior to taking on the All Whites (actually in 2005 I think) he'd won several club titles with Central, coached a number of age group national teams moderately succesfully (U17s, U23s twice) and been Mick Waitt's assistant for just over 2 years.

He held his UEFA A license (at the time the only Kiwi to have it I think) and had been Technical Director at NZF for a number of years also.

Ross Aloisi has a good tiling business.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

What a shame he was so badly crocked and had to stop playing, depite his lack of pace he was always there to steady the ship and provide a calm head and great leadership.

I'd love to see him back at the club in some capacity, and knowing that RH doesn't actually do the coaching, doesn't talk to the players much and can't seem to identify what needs to be done on a real time basis (e.g. make the right subs at the right time) and last but not leat HAS NO MONGREL IN HIM, then Ross would surely fill a role as RH assistant as he ticks all the boxes re RH's shortcomings mentioned above.

I'm a RA fan, he's passionate, knows what he's talking about and has huge respect from ROF and the players.

Really?

I've been to quite a number of Phoenix training sessions and Herbert has always been there running them.

What possible qualification does Aloisi have to take over on that front anyway.

I don't know much about grouting (or football coaching to be fair) but I'm fairly sure they don't have a lot in common.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

A few comments on TV -  mostly at the expense of Gao - and he's the new messiah....

As you say you don't know much about football coaching, so how do you know RH has been running the sessions? ;-)

Seriously, what I've said is from a few horses mouths.Don't shoot the messenger.

Re Aloisi, he got a few clues and would be a useful addition to the coaching staff. From what I've seen of RH decision making and inability to get the best out of a good bunch of players I'd say I'm on the money.

Good players don't become bad overnight. Dodds is a good example when he was finally put in his correct position. That's clearly down to man management. Same goes for player motivation aka rocket under their ar$e lighting, or whatever is needed for each player on an individual basis.

That's RH's job. I'm sure RA could assist lighting the rockets that need lighting.

Just how did he sort out El**ch last year as captain?

Seems to be much of what is said about Gao was said about El**ch, and Ross was captain.
