FINALLY. First time we've got in a decent position!

Really? Ignoring the fact we should've scored already right ?

Referee needs to take charge of this game

can't say Roly hasn't been involved. In contrast to Rod who I haven't even noticed playing.

Interesting that Roly hasn't come off though, looks like a sure red

if this is the best squad ever and we have truly been second best against what is regarded as a very weak perth squad, then we are going to struggle this season

It's pretty sad when you're at home, it's 1-1 and you see Vinnie coming on.

True, I just hope those of us on here right now are no where near Welli, looked a great day to be at the game

There's nothing weak about Perth's squad. They will be there or thereabouts at the end of the season I reckon.

As far as I can see it this was more of the same as what we saw last year.

Our midfield was hard-working but often fizzled out going forward, a bit too static and flat up front, plus defensively shaky at times and immediately punished for it.

There were however some positives, I thought Bonevacia and Burns were great.

Brockie, McGlinchy and Rodriguez were quiet.

Very disappointing, we deserved a point at least but must say this was an organized, disceplined Perth side.

Really we've lost experienced pros replaced by academy players, with WeeMac playing out of position.  The 09/10 squad is still miles ahead of this one.

On a different note why did we bring Roy on in the 89th minute, waste of time for us and him.  He should have been brought on much earlier for Brocks.

I really hope Ifill gets fully fit and quickly becomes a kiwi... we need him still.

totally. If you are going to play a mobile fast midfield then you need to have fast defenders. I don't blame Reira for any of that.  We look light weight.

Our defense is awful

Basically this.

Roly, after a nervy first 15 minutes, was great I thought. A-Rod was invisible, but perhaps like someone else said it's because he's playing deeper.

The main concern for mine is that our defence is still so shaky. For a team with no real strikers except Brockie, we need to be far more solid.
