off topic:  drove home after watching the match at friend's place. Lot of drunk people about . Two young guys, separate instances, staggered off the footpath and into the road.  Eek...

Profile pic. Should you be interested. Lakhsen, on the right, lost touch with him.
Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.

We need another forward who is able to make something for themsleves...like Ifill etc etc. We've got guys at the start of their career and guys towards the end. Kalu doing ok. Rossi a legend.Galloway and Doyle ok. Paracki lost his mojo.

But we need someone who can beat a couple of folks and score. Cos there hasn't been a killer instinct out there.

Come back Paracki!

He played a very disciplined and strict defensive role tonight and did it well I thought.  Wasn't flashy but blocked a lot of passing channels.

Yeh, but he used to be our Siggie equivalent. He was kinda superman for the first few games right? Everywhere and doing everything

We've been poor going forward withut Krishna but mostly better at the back (so far). Our issue is when we let one goal in, it seems like we're going to let in 20. So hopefully we keep it tight until the end, 0-0 wouldn't be the worst result in the world. Need a bloody clean sheet.

There is no way a bloody sheet can be considered clean

Otherwise I wholeheartedly endorse your post.

Watched a bit of the game with the guy who runs the social media accounts for the club, good dude.

I did laugh this afternoon that I knew the starting lineup before he did, as I happened to have the inside info via Rufer family of Alex starting etc that he didn't know at that stage.

There's that nil-all draw we often feel good about getting.

I checked the result and almost felt like punching the air, yeah!

Spain '82 is where it all really began for me. There were a few moments before, plenty of moments after, but that World Cup was the zeitgeist.

I'm a Rufer critic but I give him credit tonight, he played well. We needed Krishna for a bit of power up front.

Alicetown.

What I described above was in Woburn.

What was the temperature? Surprising we didn't use any subs as it was probably quite humid. I wonder if introducing someone with twenty minutes to go could of made a difference. Gomeiro certainly was a nuisance from the minute he came on.

Temperature was only about 24 as there was rain around.

Don't think the personnel on the bench would've made much of a difference. I thought Singh was a possibility, but Rufer came more into the game in the latter stages.

Yeah Singh was the option but so too was Abbas. It's more about putting fresh legs on the field against an older team who had made all their substitutions with half an hour to go.

They played 2 similar halves, created enough chances to win on another day, kept a clean sheet, good enough for me after last week debacle. A solid performance to build on. And we got a point.

How many games have we gone without using any subs?! That could be a first could it? Did we end up hearing why Durante was out?

We may have had a few player out but Brisbane had six of their top players out as well

Holman,Khalfallah,North, DeVere and Kristensen  and Papadopoulos suspended. So we should be happy with that result.

Durante being out wasn't a loss for mine. Mullen should be starting.

WeeMac and Krishna were big losses, though. Apparently Krishna back v Perth but WeeMac won't be.
