Probably a red...if we hold on I’ll take the point and happily enjoy the pound of flesh we got in exchange for Krishna/Singh getting kicked off the park every week.

The one straight after from Rufer was a beauty though. Terrible yellow given some of the agricultural stuff that goes unpunished in this league.

Gotta be said Mandi does some bloody stupid stuff sometimes.

If the Adelaide player didn't roll away the ball with his arms, he would've smashed the ball into him in open play. Kicking a ball hard isn't a foul

Still reckless

I think the ball is actually moved by a nix player leg, not the reds player.

Then give him a yellow.

Ended up hitting him though, which I think warrants a red

Agreed, saw the closeup again and it does look like the Nix player reaching and hooking it with his foot - the appropriate way to play the ball with a man on the ground over it, not running in and blasting the ball and the player at full steam.

Since the red card we've just given up. At least have an outlet up front to look for the ball or chase down and cause some trouble playing out from the back.

Been about 4-5 goal kicks in the past 5 or so minutes and they're back down in our defensive third within 30 seconds. Be interesting to look at the stats but it feels as though we've won piss all 2nd phase ball (for the whole match) Probably looking at at least a good 5+ minutes of injury time added on too.

It’ll be a miracle if we get a point out of this. And it won’t be deserved, should we get it.

I think we would have earned it if we do hold on - the defence has scrambled hard all night and never stopped getting something in the way.  We certainly have been the second best team tonight though.

A better team would have gotten at least two in by now.

Can't believe we didn't even try to score off that free kick. Pathetic.

I've never understood this type of comment.

If we concede 0 goals then surely we deserve at least a point.

We've been playing like crap but we've been defending like crazy.

Yeh. But we're not playing a better team.

Well done holding out for a draw. Plenty of Nix sides would have bottled that.

Crazy game. On a different night we would have lost by 5. As it turns out, it's a very good away point.

Yet kicks the player on the ground in the ribs. Definition of dangerous/SFP. Moving the ball out of the way is the curious part of this. Player should have been cautioned as moved the ball with hand directly to prevent nix gaining posession, doesn't change the red card for me though.

Mate, by your definition (i.e. player makes contact with another player) any foul where the player doesn't get the ball should be a red card.

Deserve a point for learning how to hold on, even when not playing well.

That draw will definately feel like a loss for Adelaide. They didn’t help themselves by being shark in attack..not our problem they couldn’t score a goal, even if they did deserve one. Can’t complain with an away point though! Looks like Nichols will finally see some game time given the travelling squad has decreased by one now.

Trust me, I’m happy that we got something out of this game. I’m not happy that we played terribly and probably didn’t deserve it.

It's the nature of the contact. That's a red any time, anywhere.

I think the Us against Them, backs against the wall, die for the shirt mentality Rudan's been trying to install really paid off tonight. I think former Nix sides could have well collapsed in similar situations.
