COYN a bit off topic I know, but did anyone else scratch their head at the much heralded “half time entertainment” at the Sydney game? A decent enough prize - a gold season ticket (or maybe punishment) - but the ‘competition’ was bizarre in the extreme. Ball dribbling relay shuttles pitting two teenage brothers who were obviously decent enough footballers against two other teams with people - one presumably a mother - who looked like they’d never kicked footballs in their life. And of course it was all over in about 90 seconds.
Totally bizarre. Makes me wonder who is thinking up this sort of crap. Sort of symbolises the entire experience at Westpac.

HT shows are abysmal and Sat was one of the lows. Perfect opportunity to get some of the Fever down having consumed twelve pints and embarrassing the crap out of them (much like what happened to me and a mate in one of those zorbs in Brisi once)

Not even finished it yet, but Galloway and Mullen are diabolical, but not quite as diabolical as the commentators, piney and Harry, god they are obsessed with stats and there own voices, shut up for once in a while, thank God I don't have to listen to them at the stadium.

They’re used to doing radio I suppose, where you need to fill the silence.
Most TV commentators do need to learn the art of being quiet and letting the pictures do the talking.
I listened to the game on radio and it was piney and chote. Maybe they do both tv and radio together!

Commentary is a strange beast. I like Pineys knowledge and he can add to the game at points, sometimes I feel like he talks a little too much. Dewhurst for me talks too much and dosnt offer an insight I can't see with my own two eyes.
Fred well no matter what I say I will be accused of bias so will leave that alone.
Harry and Raf are just a bit raw. I thought Jacob Spoonley did a really good job in a couple of ISPS Handa Premiership games.
