So is what's his name, you know, the coach from last year, is he gonna take credit for that as well?

What's sight without sound? Love without peace? Copulation without conception?

So if Kurto polaxed him, they'd just bring it back for offside?

Robbie Slater just said we're 2nd best after Sydney right now.

You do kind of feel like WU won the battle (first game) and we're slowly winning the war.

That's gold! Can you do one after each win? Cheers

Stoked. Great win.

Davilla on a different level.

Marinovic with another super save. Not one other angle of it shown though.

Happy New Year to the Yellow Fever!!

Was pretty impressed with the wraps we got throughout   the game.

Nearly a Hooper assist and goal in the few mins he was on

The guy sure knows where to be and what's on

At some point they can't ignore us.

Also, DeVere was bloody good today after what I thought was a poor game last week. Well done to him. Directly responsible for that 2nd goal.

That last coach we had who was he again?I think it was old flash in the pan or something like that can't really remember though,a little short guy who talked a good game and loved seeing himself on telly, was that him?

WU have done really well to come from behind this season; that save by Marinovic on MacDonald was so important.

He’ll say he’s sorry 50 times in post match press conference just like at the press conference when he left

Ya can’t beat Wellington on Good day

Great game, this was good fun.

Bitumen been lucky so far, their negative football will not pay off in the long run. We on the other hand play consistent, we will slowly climb the ladder. 2020 will be great!

Do not forget money is everything in this business. Eventually someone will offer Talay a great salary package to rescue them. This could be any past great club like Victory or WSW.

I could try, depends if I'm at home or not (most likely be at the match). Might try make it different every week. I made this before our 1st match against the Greensharke but it didn't go so well...

Would not be surprised to see him leave.

It never fails: once we get a bit of success, we start speculating about how and when Devlin/Talay/Cacace/any other star are going to abandon us.

What an excellent team showing. Every player doing their bit. Slick interpassing. Winning the 50:50s. Skill, confidence. Can't wait for next weekend!

Probably because it happens every time

Didn't see anyone speculate about Devlin

Cacace we already know will be going if a decent club comes in

Have seen some comment elsewhere that apparently security staff entered the Phoenix supporters zone and told them if anyone took shirts off at 80min they would be ejected from the stadium. Didnt seem to stop them but i thought that sort of response from security had been sorted.

Definitely wouldn't have been sorted in that backwater of a stadium

Yeah but seem to recall that along with other active zone things it had been discussed at some forum.I may be making things up but i thought it had been discussed with the league

Davila and Piscopo rightly gained the plaudits but David Ball’s contribution was immense.

Seriously hard to say a bad word about any of the team today. That was spot on. This is a proper team. Work for each other and the coach. That save from marinovic was huge, absolutely kept us in it.

Also, really pleased for McCowatt. Came with a lot of expectation and it didn't seem to be clicking for him but that goal was exactly what his play deserved today. Great build up play too.

Fudge I can't wait for the 4th!

re the first half red card not given. In pre VAR days the powers that be could act retrospectively.. is that still.the case or do they now solely rely on VAR alerting the ref to things he has missed? The muppet needs justice to.prevail and miss two games at least

Same VAR as game at Melbourne City.

It's FACT!

I know, I know, its serious!

Because thats how it works? Can always rely on you to focus on a negative at any stage of success

I was there for the game. Great win. Actually really great win. Great work rate in hot conditions very impressed with the condition these guys are in tbh. Melbourne, well tbh, they need to get younger next season.

I was there at the game and security did come (in the 65th minute) to say no shirts off. There had been two people watching the zone all game until then, when about 8 security guys showed up and the biggest came over to talk to someone.

Poorly handled by the ground. They didn't seem to do anything once the shirts came off though.

Western United officials were great to deal with. Was on a shuttle between the stadium and the ground both ways and the drivers were very friendly and well organised (even afterwards!) So props to them.

First time to any away game so not sure what it's normally like, but the zone was in great voice tonight and the players were loving celebrating in front of the zone in the second half.
