Also, his second finish was also taken really well from distance with an on rushing goal keeper and defence flooding back. Looking forward to him starting in the next game.

Not sure why some "fans" think it's all cool to unmercisly slag off whatever player supposedly has had a poor game.
Poor Game? Really? Have you not watched him at all this season? Or last? I wouldn't slag him off for one poor game. Riera has had a few bad games this season, yet i don't "Slag" him off because other than the odd game, he's consistently one of our best.
Maybe i'm being harsh again. But what would i know? I say Brockie's been poor for the last 3 seasons, and Boyd is one of our best talents that should be playing over him at every opportunity. And that Lia hasn't proven to anyone why he should be in the team.
But then i get 'Slagged off' for making constructive comments like that, and now this. Wrapping up the players in cotton wool doesn't help either you know. Boyds had what, maybe 25 minutes of action this season. Two goals and a Assist. Nah lets play Brockie again on sunday.

Can someone please explain to me why Boyd has had only one game this season? Can someone also explain why Boyd has rarely made the bench this season? He should be first attacking option off the bench when we need something extra. Boyd >>> Brockie or Cunningham
Those two goals were taken with cool aplomb...especially from such a young player. There have been rumblings that all is not 100% between the Boyd camp and the Nix. Hope its all sorted because we need youngsters like that.

btw, in the hysteria I couldn't see who it was that was lying on the ground yet somehow managed to scoop that final pass to Boyd for the third goal. Anybody can enlighten me? He deserves a medal whoever it was.

Agree, the game was absolute awesomeness from start to finish.
My thoughts:
1) Hugely entertaining game, who needs EPL...
2) Ref was inconsistent and just rubbish
3) I've wondered for a long time now why Boyd hasn't had more game time. Tonight he showed his class.
If you would've put Brockie into Boyds position it probably would've ended 1:1. Boyd has a certain spark to his attacking game and good technique/composure
4) Someone please tell Fenton to leave his hands off the opposition player...
5) For some reason we start giving away possession far too easily after we score. Need to keep calm more
6) Commentators were awesome "Tim Tam biscuits..." LOL

After just taking an interest in the A league here in England and supporting the phoenix. First impressions are that sigmund and durante were solid as a rock. And tyler boyd surely must start against brisbane. Thoroughly enjoyed the game. Cant wait for sundays game.

Blatant handball by Boyd for the 2nd goal but wow he went past the defender and whacked it in Burnsesque fashion. In fact, are we sure that wasn't Burns with a Boyd mask on? Just keep it up lads!

So good how the bench strikers stepped up. Our position in the league will be great for Burns in the Aussie camp in banter. Roly is too good for words. The passion the whole team played with in that match was huge though. Obviously defended amazingly and in midfield we were diving in for everything, really playing as a team.
Was definitely a handball, how intentional we could argue for pages about. My first thought was wow, amazing how well he chested that directly to his feet like that, legend... then saw the replay and not so much.
