Works for me, just. So annoyed that the official one is so crap but suppose I shouldn't expect decent from the FFA.
What's an official stream?
Well done phoenix
Well done brockie
Great result, we played well today. I think Roly and A-Rod both played well. Good see JB get a couple before he goes, always liked him
Being Brockies biggest critic I am very pleased for him to end the Nix run with two goals, the second was a cracker Good luck to him, but the reality is that had he not been going to SA he would have been on the bench for the rest of the season.
If you are old and wise you were probably young and stupid

It's days like this I really hate being halfway around the world, but wow, that was fantastic to watch on TV.

I'm not so sure. with Burns and Krishna unavailable I think he would of been starting. If anything the fact he is leaving should make it harder for him to get a run.
Edit - I thought you were talking about this game, but just released you might of meant for the rest of the season.

I don't think that's an 'official' stream that is run by the FFA, it's an overseas website that only has rights for certain regions (excluding nz since Sky has rights here) to show games isn't it?
cheers to ernie and the boys, keep this up and il be retiring early :)
rojas, so special
un-fudgeing-believable! What is this feeling? 2nd place!! The mighty fudgeing Phoenix!

Absolutely spot on. No one should begrudge him such a great farewell game and all the best to him. Crowd went nuts when he scored that second goal, even we Brockie critics. And good on Ernie for subbing him before the corner so Brockie could get the send off he deserved. Great stuff.
I was impressed with Riera bossing the mid-field. Many of the Roar's attacks were thwarted by his intervention. Defense looks really, really solid. Saw Siggy give Fenton a spray or two but overall I thought Fenton had a very good game looking after Henrique reasonably well. Roly has great turn and pace but didn't have his shooting/scoring boots on. Hard to pick a player who had a weak game really. We never looked like losing. Second in the league, 10K crowd, Wellington sun. Life is good.
Hey you bastards I'm still here.
Basking in sun and glory. It's dreamy.
After watching Manny score early in the game, and then nearly scoring again soon after, I thought to myself:
"if I was Krishna I would be afraid, very afraid...." :-)
Actually, getting outplayed quite a bit these days

You could not have scripted a better finish for Brock's. Two goals MOM in front of a bumper home crowd. Today kind of summed up Brockies career. Meanders around not doing much and then capable of a great strike on goal. Go well mate....hope you bang them in in SA.
How amazing is this season? second in the league.....10,000+ crowds. Playing some lovely on the deck football. A big pat on the back to Ernie Merrick.....he has turned this football club around. Also inspired choice by Welnix. They could have stuck with the status quo and kept Rickie but they stuck their necks out and went for a big change in the clubs personal and playing style.
They might need some more temporary seating out in the Hutt for February
Wow
After 2 games where we got pumped and pinched the points, we owned Roar - we took on WSW, Adelaide and Roar over 8 days and took the points. If anyone picked that, show your TAB ticket now. That's a tremendous outcome and it does wonders for team harmony. Considering the last game we lacked focus, we came out with some real attacking intent and focus on playing some bloody good football. The main thing is that Roar had nothing in the midfield that could stand near a shadow so our guys had lots of space and time to choose options. The first goal from Muscat courtesy of McGlinchey (more) was one where the instant Muscat had that touch that wrong footed the FB, you just knew it was a case of 'is he missing this or nailing it' cause as much as that touch was a little lucky, it was perfect for him to run onto and beat everyone to it. The penalty and then the Brockie screamer. What a great way to finish and yet another clean sheet.
Brockie: I thought he deserved his MOM call. If not him then A-Rod. He ran, he was available, he had chances, he had nice touches. The last goal, I wont lie in that I shed a tear and said 'you've earned that today, you can now go well' and to be honest, regardless of what people think, he knows how the last 18 months has gone for him and the club, hes had a fantastic attitude around it and decided to move on. No moaning, complaining, been a team man, kept up the front and then made a call for himself. For those that are not fans, you cannot fault his attitude one bit so he does not need the send off of negativity cause he knows. Great to slot the penalty and the last one was just typical Brockie 'WTF happened there' Nice. I thought Sky may have delayed the cut for him for another 5 into the other game and got him on camera for an interview but whatever, usual Sky.
Aside from Brockie, you can see the massive difference A-Rod brings to the team. he was everywhere today and I think there is an actual 'Who do I play' dilemma for Ernie cause A-Rod just makes a massive difference in the middle of the pitch for us. I had him as MOM until that Brockie goal but you could not deny it for the #11. As much as they talked about Lia on the pod and what he brings, does that contribution, as much as it is very different, outweigh what A-Rod brings? He was everywhere. The move to swap him for Cunningham.... well I think the massive elephant is that Cuningham will most likely be gone so do you develop younger guys where you can with that game time rather than play an import that's leaving.
Muscat had his best game since round 2 I think. He was everywhere up the left flank and I think someone may have had a word in his ear to stop being a Twit and play football. Him and McGliinchey combined so well up that flank that they looked like they had been doing forever. In saying that, I thought McGlinchey sat deeper today and was a massive impact. Every week his role changes and every week he plays well. Its rare to see him have a bad game and in 14, he has been invisible once. I think he is the guy that if he is out a game, you will see the difference he does make. Not a left sided player but some of the balls are just sublime.
I thought Roly had enough strike outs to be batting for the Cubs. One day he will slot 4 and it will be just a case of it all coming together. I thought he should have at least had 1 and at least put 2-3 on target. He belted the cover off of it and I pity the keeper when he does slot them.
In terms of Fenton, I think the podcast this week nailed it. He is not a natural defender and today made some dumb choices and those FBs are our Achilles heel. When we have 3 into 2, its kinda a lottery as to which 2 they should be. Last week you would have said Fenton or Muscat dropped. This week, goal aside for Muscat but Fenton again and to be fair to him, its not the first game. We all know what he is there but do the attacking benefits outweigh the defensive negatives?
Another HAL ref, another rookie and thank god the lino piped up and said penalty. If some one can tell me why that was not red then great. Young is a shark keeper and I think it may have done Roar a favour to actually toss him. He is just a nutter. That aside, why do we consistently get average refs. It would be good to get someone like..... oh, they are all poor.
The last thing of this long winded story is fitness. This season we are running our asses off and we rarely look out of steam. I think this is one of the most under rated attributes of this years team. The two older heads look like they could run all game and I think that's the hallmark of team that is very fit and consequently, earning the fruits of that. Bloody good performance and a couple of weeks off. Hopefully Ernie gives them a week with their families and they can do whatever before they are back in for the back half of the season.
Grumpy old bastard alert
Close as I can remember to a perfect evening for a very long time. It just was. Thanks everyone.
God I love this game
Nostalgia isnt what it used to be...........
Wow. Top drawer performance from team point of view. We were first to near everything. We read their play so well.
Way things were going , I thought Lia might score!
We absolutely wore the roar, no idea how good they are, but we certainly made them look very ordinary
After watching Manny score early in the game, and then nearly scoring again soon after, I thought to myself:

Have another drink.
He was definitely being serious.
Three for me, and two for them.
I'm pretty sure their keeper is on steroids.
Yeah, I only saw the 1st half but was thinking "by God, where did they get that muscleman from, the WWE?" From what I hear of the penalty, that may well be the case.
Ramming liberal dribble down your throat since 2009
This forum needs less angst and more Kate Bush threads
To see Brocks finish with the club in style and get such a warm send off was great. Pleased for him and I hope it goes well in South Africa.
And I have to say I thought Lia had a great game. Maybe his pace was less exposed than against some other teams, but credit where credit's due, that was a good game I thought.
Man we bossed them tonight.
Also, loved the retro chants (greenacre, ifill, brown - did I miss any?), top YF form overall and 10k in the house. Bloody good evening all round.
Would be very nice if WSW draw, beat or have a close loss to Victory on Tuesday. :)
Lia and Gorrin were the best, major disruption for the Roar who soon seemed to resort to immediate long release option.
Lia's passing was excellent, best on show for sure. Hopefully hear less BS directed his way.
E's Flat Ah's Flat Too
Lia among the top two or three on the park today
Rodrigez, Brockie, Bonevacia, Muscat. Sorry lia didn't make it.
Lia probably had his best game but would only rate as adequate.
ended up taking 6 other people to the game and they all loved it including a roar supporter haha
I LOVE LAMP
