id say we've been tired more than poor. Or that this is a very standard performance, nothing amazing but nothing dire either.

Absolutely pooping myself about this one.

The Wellington Phoenix are not a team that would first come to mind if you said a team could take home 9 points in 8 days.

Fudge I hope it happens though.

Tough call on Durante not been up to it.. we have had a lot of clean sheets this year... hes played a big part in that.

That been said, that was poor by him.

most games? i think most games he has had 1 solid defender next to him and him having to cover 2 new young players playing down his flanks. one of which is still learning their position..

bish most games. thats a laugh.

Can't believe I am saying this, but i agree with the call we missed Lia.

Considering it was a clear hand ball by a Phoenix player that was missed , and more crap defence by Durante  , well deserved goal by Brisbane

Mclaren owning us at the back. Wtf was Rossi's card for? Brisbane not pinged for some block offs or yellows for shirt tugs

Permalink Permalink

i would have been ok with Dura kicking Theo right in the shin after that garbage "fall" on the ball at the end.

Why did Rossi stop his run, which left Maclaren completely free (at the goal)?

good man though for putting his hand up and admitting his slip

Too buggered? You could see that goal coming from a mile off. The workload of the last week was really showing in the last 15.

Bitter pill maybe but the fresher (and smarter) team nicked the points.

unlucky to lose it at the end. But roar were on top for most of the game. i think it showed that we can talk about how amazing our bench is (sorry podders) but there wasn't enough rotation of fresh energy in the starting 11 to get us across the line.

thought the defenders overall were solid, bar dura's miss step. But it was the transition period and front there were we struggled again. Roly taking too many touches, Roy running straight and hard but not timing with his passers, also hes unable to win headers with CBs so kicking long to him is a wasted option. Kosta's poor option taking.

Tratt and Weemac again were good to watch. Mossy kept out a few rockets.

Any way, bring on the reds.

Yep and I guess I would have taken 6 points from 3 games, if I was asked last Saturday, before the Mariners game.

Lia's been superb

He sure has. Shows he can play.     Pity he has wasted the past few years trying to kick the opposition.
