So we should shoot more from distance and be like CCM. Sounds like a great plan.

Why not vary and mix our shooting distances up to keep their defenders guessing? Instill an unpredictability factor in their heads.

He just said shoot more, not shoot from distance more.

Honestly, while I'm not all doom and gloom like some are, but if a team parks the bus and offers you shots from distance you should back your self to convert some.  We looked like we were searching for the perfect shot which was annoying.  If teams think we can't shoot from outside the box then we need to improve on that and keep them guessing otherwise they will just collapse the defence and wait for us to lose the ball looking for the perfect shot.

I made no mention of shooting from distance.

I was implying that if you don't take chances and just pass it around the box like we did here, your not likely to score.  Not for one minute in this game did it feel to me like we would score.

A shot from outside the area just might have worked a treat.

only if every shot we shoot is an awesome threatening dipping volley, not a way for the other team to get possession and kill off what otherwise might be a potential attack

passing it back and forth across the goal runs the same risk.

Maybe time to bring back the shoot on site policy if a team parks the bus.
Be obscure clearly
