It's also pretty difficult when you're down to no strikers and one CB. Maybe we should send a spy to Sydney FC and figure out how they have managed almost two whole seasons without any injuries to key players.

that's very true, I mean we do lack quality in many areas but so do Adelaide and almost every team in the comp bar Melb City and Sydney. Krishna wins us that game

Poor result by the Nix today -  Feel we need Roy back asap

Nah, it's about quality.

We have Roy we win that 3-1 IMO

Positive: Some good game time for Singh

Negative: 75% of our goals this season are from players not on the field.

Curious as to how players who are not on the field can score 75% of our goals?

One of them managed to get a yellow card too!

Rufer and Parkhouse hit the bar, nothing else worth a damn, not even a biscuit.

Yeah agreed. Adelaide didn't really look like scoring aside from the one they did actually score from. Can't fault the coach for that.

That was a tough watch. We improved once Singh came on, but we didn't deserve to win ... neither did Adelaide though.

Incredibly frustrating to miss out on points due to another keeping error from Italiano. We needed the win but I would have been content with a draw.

and that wasn't a screamer, but a keeper error. Again quality. Had it last week. This week a couple of injuries and suspensions and we are short 1-2 players.

Paracki struggled big time at CB. Too slow as well. Ljujic little impact. Parkhouse had a decent opportunity tonight but couldnt make headway. Burns not much impression. Feel sorry for Dura. His team werent up to it without Roy and a second CB

That was an absolute snoozefest. We will never stay in the league with performances like that. Really terrible.

Ljujic was pretty invisible and bossed, Burns ineffective, Kalujderovic not really involved.  Without Roy there, those are the guys that need to step up and make a difference.  On teh day they didn't.  I'll give them a break because they haven't had a lot of time together, particularly without Krishna.  But apart from fairly poor crossing there wasn't much happening there.

Seemed a very limp, uncohesive performance.  Parkhouse worked his but off.  The defending was reasonably sound.  But otherwise we showed very little.

Yet we nearly got the draw.

Not exactly accurate to say the goal was the result of  GK error. Sure it went through his legs but Blackwood should of scored anyway.

Not sure you meant it but you have supported my argument by literally naming less  than half the squad as being A League quality. Not sure I would have Galloway on that list based on recent performances. But I would add Fox

I agree with you that we gave a core of good solid players, is just that the quality falls off a cliff if these guys are unavailable

Wow, what a lot of complete cack from start to finish, and Im trying to be positive here.  Durante and Paracki (and Singh) can hold their heads high. The rest need to have a good look at themselves cos it was a rabble for the most part.  Kaludj, Galloway, Ridenton were bad beyond belief. Parkhouse is a complete waste of space on the right. The others were just plain rubbish

As others have said, a game of very low quality. No one took control of the game, no one tried to do something to make a chance or beat a defender or anything. From either side.

While you cant do much as a manager when the players dont perform and you have 4 kids on the bench, something needed to change during that game to change the flow. We could have pressed high for 10mins or hit the channels for 10 or something.

I would have at least hoped that if the back end of this season was preparing for next year, that the intent would have been there.

Plenty of players out, was going to be tough but the phoenix pushed to hard to the end. The only thing in it was a howler.

Everything is to slow, predictable and the goalkeeping is just bad. Adelaide where shark but we managed to be sharkter.

Why not bring Rogerson earlier, Parkhouse was going nowhere, did Logan even touched the ball?

Bullshark result, that's our season.

Spain '82 is where it all really began for me. There were a few moments before, plenty of moments after, but that World Cup was the zeitgeist.

One of the most abject performances I've seen. AK complaining about his fudgeing foot for half the game. 0 commitment from anyone.

Can we fudge Parkhouse off please?

Yeah agreed. Adelaide didn't really look like scoring aside from the one they did actually score from. Can't fault the coach for that.

But the tactics in the final third were very poor, we looked bereft of ideas once crossing and short corners didn't work.

looking back on it, i dont think we played overly poorly, or as poor as we have this season. But it was just a very flat performance. Most of the time we were well organised on defence which was pleasing. we moved the ball forward ok and could of create a few more chances with better delivery.

One moment in the game that still annoys me this morning, is in the first half Blackwood fouled Ridenton off the ball with a dirty shove in the back. A foul was given, but not one of the nearby Nix players react to it. I would have though one of your young midfielders been taken out like that would have drawn a response... but nothing. Just doesn't seem quite right.

He hurt himself on the first chance on goal. Continued to play on it, but was clutching at it every two seconds. Would you have preferred for him to go off after 2mins?
