Hudson-Wihongi and McGing would be first cabs off the rank in that case.

Would like to see McGing occasionally on the park too, perhaps in a non-stressful game (if we have any) just to see how he performs at this level.

Actually, getting outplayed quite a bit these days

Interesting that Steinmann played as centre back for the weenix, wonder if Talay is assessing options for how to fit Rufer in.

It was probably just a way to get all 3 guys onto the park to have a hit out. Steinmann is the only one that can play CB.

This. Just a way for everyone to get minutes. Wilson didn't offer much it has to be said.

other than to foul his way through the game. All grabbing and holding fouls.

Great initiative - hopefully they're plastering the various campuses with this information.

I'm still hoping there will be a last minute deal I can take advantage of to fly up there without having to remortgage the house!

This is a massive game for the Nix.  Looking forward to getting away from a howling gale every day and supporting the boys. I think this match will be incredibly tense and exciting in equal measure.

I'm taking 2 extras to Auckland for this one. Neither are Nix attendees, so that's two above normal going - yay.

Proud to have attended the first 175 Consecutive "Home" Wellington Phoenix "A League" Games !!

This is probably going to be the first Auckland game ever I'm going to miss, just because (a) I'm exhausted, and (b) not to sound like Royz, but especially given yesterday, I'm not confident of a result on this one and I'm pretty depressed at the moment anyway.

The Phoenix played well against Perth, who are better than City, and have never lost at Eden Park. Pretty sure they've got this.

"howling gale every day"? I think you might be disappointed! It's been horribly windy in Auckland for most of the summer.

Windy again today.

You can do it Doloras.

Elliot or TAWH but since we haven't seen Elliot so far will most likely be TAWH.

Elliot would have to be on the bench as backup either way.

If Wilson he does start ahead of TAHW at RB... will probably mean curtains for TAHW Nix career.

Why? He's first choice centre-back cover, not third-choice RB cover. It's a miracle neither of our CB's have been injured or suspended.

He was on the bench but Talay did choose TAHW to come on in that right back role against Perth.
