Hooper has not been poor. His movement and channels are excellent, but we are not finding him. A lot of ball in promising ares going back to Taylor Devere

Wihongi yet to make a cross... seems afraid to. Needs to offer more of an outlet.

Really playing with fore at the back. Some of our giveaways today have been poor at best.

Need to tighten that up, otherwise the likes of Luna, Susueta & Maclaren will pounce.

It's slightly frustrating for me that Talay wants us to play this composed passing game but we can't properly do it because of constant silly turnovers. I'm kind of resigned to it now, just seems to be a feature of this Nix team.

Lots of good stuff in that half though. He's had praise aplenty already but man we did well to get Devlin. He's such a classy little player.

Pretty painful. Too slow, too negative, can't create bugger all.

Giving it away far too easily.

Sorry but Hooper hasn't had a single pass stick so far. Hasn't had a shot and has barely pressed down their backs.
Can't see how he's having a good game.
As I said he's got it in him to change the game but man I hope he produces something soon as he's only gonna tire more as the game goes on

we seem to have a few different gears. The backs play slow and composed. The middle play quick transitions. While the forwards try to play both slow and fast at the same time, but end up going nowhere. Not sure if thats a Hooper related issue or not. But it needs to be cleared up asap.

I have an amazing ability to find my way out of mazes. I'm pathological.

On the subject of Fever pubs, noticed there's a Good George at Mission Bay now, prime location.

Not at $20 a jug thanks.

You haven’t been to the Morningside Tavern have you?

Looking at those prices it is just as well.

How much where you are Leggy?

Scooner $4.50 Pint $7.00

Ah, you're in Australia, the beers no doubt blander than what the typical Wellington drink. I've got a six pack of fortune favours, naturalist for the complete phoenix home experience even if I'm watching on my TV.

What crap.

A telling moment for me was Hooper caught back on halfway defending, the ball breaking wide to Ball who moved it up field while Hooper just stood and watched. Nooooo way was he going to put in any kind of effort to get forward!

He's not fit in my opinion.

Would be winning this game if we had Keegan Smith's superior distribution from the back. :)

Give them this much shooting practice and they are going to pot one eventually.

General play has been so poor today (and the last 4-5 weeks, really). Not sure what's happened, but our confidence looks zapped.. Just little things; bad corners, bad throw ins, ball not going to feet, often passing back to Taylor/DeVere, Marinovic looking shaky..

edit: reverse jinx worked, well done Hooper

Nice finish! Ball has so often muffed similar chances but that was terrific.

TAHW did well today out of position. Not sure that's the right call to bring him off.

We needed that! Been under the pump at the start of this half. Great goal.

Everyone can say what they like about Hooper, but when he's on the park, he scores or creates goals for us. Guess thats why we pay him the big bucks eh?

Looked solid and wasn't afraid to venture forward

Hooper does need more direct crosses in - he was free there and Libby cut back

Yeah, odd. A few little errors but so has Libby. I'd really like to see him get more game time.

A bit rude when our player is injured to play Jump Around.

Thank god we've got some decent squad depth this season.

Since TAHW went off, we've had Wilson cutting inside to defend and Steinmann or Devlin going to RB...weird. Is really opening us up.

Stupid sub bringing Wihongi off. Now can only use one of Rufer or Sotirio. Better hope City don’t score.
