Sadly, I think Patrick may well be proved correct. I am going for a 4-0 Sydney win.

We know that Welnix are pretty cautious about things, if Des and Greenacre aren't the right coaches then I kind of want a blow out just to force the boards hands, this season is a right off anyway.

If Des and Greenacre have some master plan that will only be unveiled in the off season and will propel us up the ladder then I hope we win.

The worst scenario is if we limp into a finals spot, the board gives Des and Greenacre a couple of years and we stay mediocre.

Better to be cautious than reckless and although I think we need a strong personality in charge, they are the bosses. They last game they had a plan but the roar changed theirs and thus made our worthless. So they now know not only do we need a plan A, B but also a C for just in case. I am picking a hiding from Sydney, not because we are that bad, but they really are on fire. Time to rain on Sydney's parade.

Hate to say it but the Referee is Mr Ams who last time we played away awarded 6 yellow cards against us and only started giving yellow to the home team after 80 minutes.give

Has done 11 games in the A-league and 3 of them have involved us (We won one and lost two). He was the referee in Wellington when we lost to Sydney 0-1 with the goal scored right at the end.

I kind of agree but I'm also starting to think that we need a really really good coach to get anything more than about 6th place out of these players. They don't seem to be able to put more than about two good performances together at a time, and haven't for about two years since the back end of the 2014/15 season when teams figured us out.

Edit: whoa, I think that was the game where the photos of Patrick stealing sausage rolls come from. Everything is connected....

you heard it first - right here... we might not lose tonight.

Also - there is a heat wave hitting the country this weekend, temps 35+ everywhere, avoiding that may be a huge blessing.

Roly dropped to bench, good. The attack looks promising. Hopefully the midfield delivers. Rossi must be injured, to bad, he is a rock.

why Roly to bench good? An inconsistent Rossi still better than anything Finkler done all season
