Or philosophically speaking can god (being all powerful) impose a suspension so large even he cannot lift it?

Not surprising with those dodgy looking lights hanging from the cranes

I was sure they were sun beds !

The answer to life's problems are rarely found at the bottom of a beer glass - but it's always worth a look.

It's the Valley, they will be more suited for a more hydroponic usage than sun beds

If no Dura - Boxall to CD, Fenton and Doyle FBs. Rufer/Boyd on the bench? No more defenders, Roly/Lia to cover there?

Lia did ok at right back in the distant past.

Dura out would be a huge loss. Boxall CB, Fenton RB, Doyle LB

So, will Boyd come in for Cunningham? Or Rufer?

Anyone know where in the city you can buy a yellow/black/yellow and black water proof poncho from?

Yeah, unfortunate for him. Would've been his first bench appearance.

Rufer on standby for Dura. I reckon he just wants a run around with the legends instead ;-)

When you look at our team, Mannys indiscipline has come at a really shark time.

Of our 23

Out: Manny (sus), JBS, Kenny, Appiah, Durante, Ridenton (inj)  and that's assuming Durante does not pass the fitness test. I think I would rather he sit this one out if he is 50/50 and trust in what we have for a week than potentially popping and being out a month.

That leaves 17. If you are not picking Boyd, which is a given, then that leaves you with the bare 16 with Griffith, Rufer, Hicks, Lia and Italiano on the bench.

Weenix will probably get humped this weekend by Canterbury (actually maybe not) with no first teamers dropping down. Assume Boyd has a pedicure booked or something....

Why is that a given? The club would be willing to cut off their nose to spite their face?

When you look at the volume of evidence before you - dubious or otherwise, everything you have read and heard, players signed and picked in recent weeks, do you think Boyd is going to be picked?

If Dura is ruled out, Boyd will have to make the squad as we only have 18 players available atm (Manny, JBS, Ridenton, Appiah-Kubi & Kenny are all unavailable). Its Rufer or Boyd for the bench already.

Squad of 23 minus 6 out leaves 17. 11 playing plus bench of 5 = 16.

Unless I have really missed something here

Also - why can't we promote from the Reserves such as Stevens or Blake?

Not ssaying we should though.

Unless they are signed as an injury replacement they can't be registered for the 'Nix.

You would hope that the club is more professional than that.

There is an element of irony in that when it comes to the player we are talking about here.....

For 45min in the pre-season cup before injury he looked pretty promising at RB.

Sky will have to decide if it will reschedule it's replay of the Oamaru Possum Throwing Championship (2003) to screen the game live.

Fortunately Sky currently have a record seven sports channels Sky Sport 1-7 because of the Cricket World Cup, the rugby and rugby league all being on.

Saturday's Phoenix game screens live at 5 pm on Sky Sport 5.

Hope Sky do justice to the FIFA u-20 World Cup in June (and the FIFA Women's World Cup and the Copa America which are on at the same time in June) by having a similarly large number of pop-up channels for those.

I just heard on the radio over here that some bloke at Hutt Rec conducted a test on the lights to see if they were strong enough for a night game, during the day....

Please confirm or deny.

I watched them conduct a lighting test at night to work out how much extra lighting they would need.
