We really need to take make the most of the advantage for us of going into the wind first half like we did in Sydney against them last time.

Did he say that Sydney have scored in 31 straight games? That's like you are 1-0 down before you even step on the park.

or they get 1 at the end of being thrashed ;>)

Le Fondre has been rubbish for the last month or so.

Oh please don't let that come back to haunt us. Our defence looks decidedly shaky today.

Taylor being ruled out on gameday is worst scenario for our defence, not being able to prepare new combinations properly.

I think it's clear why Fox hasn't been playing. In Rudan we trust.

To be fair the defence, including Dura, looks all over the shop.

I bet Palmerston North has never been mentioned in such close proximity to Van Basten.

Great call by the linesman there... sucks for us, but fair play to the man.

Had just put 20 bucks at 4.50 for the Wellington win  - was rubbing my hands with glee!

What just happened there?

What was the rule? Kopa passed the keeper?

Yeah, what did happen there?!

Only one player between Kopa and the goal line, therefore offside.

Permalink Permalink

keeper was ahead so it meant that the defender on the line becomes the keeper in terms of the offside rule.  kopa was in line with that keeper/defender meaning offiside.  unfortunate but the rule

Commentators gushing over that offside call like it was some sort of unknown rule.

OK well the commentators just explained it. Makes sense, good decision.

There has to be two opposition players between you and the goal, because the keeper was advanced, this left Kopa sitting between the two, so only 1 between him and the goal, ergo, offside.

Touch on Fox, but I think Lowry might be better positionally, which I think we need based on the first 20 minutes.

Permalink Permalink

Geez, that is quite a whack rule...

But by the time it deflected back to Kopa he was n an onside position, wasn’t he? Wouldn’t that be a new phase of play

Permalink Permalink

It's a shambles in there. Mandi's getting repeatedly robbed just outside our penalty area.

I feel we havent changed out tactics in about 10 weeks and other sides have realised this.

I have an amazing ability to find my way out of mazes. I'm pathological.

Deflected is the key word there - similar to if the keeper had of saved it.  I'd say it was same phase of play.
