Deflected is the key word there - similar to if the keeper had of saved it.  I'd say it was same phase of play.

Thing is - how would have that been called had it happened at the other end of the pitch

Pretty much scuffed every shot we've had so far.

Deliberate saves don't create a new phase of play.

I dont believe that for a second - been watching the Nix since day 1 and seen too many - contentious decisions go the other way

Favourite part of the commentary so far is: "How am I supposed to know???"

If we can hang on till half time we might find things easier with the wind behind us. We need to make our passes stick.

Think a lot of people are mistaking the 'most improved player' award with the 'most valuable player'. Fenton's shown great improvements and I'm very happy to have him in the side but that deosn't stop him from unfortunately being one of the weaker players in the starting XI

He is allowed a bad half - he's had a great season.

Fudge our passing is absolutely dreadful. Lucky to be 0-0, well and truly second best so far.

Has been decent this season. Hasn't been good today but that happens...

So was that our good half or our bad half? Every loose ball seemed to bounce to the feet of a Sydney player. Maybe a bit of luck and the wind in the second half will change things.

I wish Singh would stay more central and get on the ball more...the ball movement especially in midfield is too slow

Lucky not to have conceded. We've been woeful in possession...Rufer, mandi, Fenton, even Dura who is our best player so far. Cacace and the strikers way too quiet.
Unlucky with the goal being disallowed but to be fair we don't deserve to be up a goal. Hope Fox is all right, that second replay showed Dura inadvertently going studs up and very hard on his ankle...

Much easier to play into the wind.

If you are old and wise you were probably young and stupid

Need another CD. Dura is almost useless. Lucky only a yellow.

Yes - but with the pace of Krishna we can use the wind in the second half

Bit of a mix with into the wind and with the wind...

Into the wind it can be better for through balls, getting the behind the defence and the ball holding up for your fast player running through. This is how we exploited Sydney last time over there, into a strong wind.

With the wind can be advantageous for breaking fast though, as we've seen so far this half. Also good for shooting obvs.
