I'm fairly gloomy about the chances of us going to Perth and winning anyway. Good thing is that I can only be pleasantly surprised and delighted if we do.

After winning in Melbourne, I feel we can basically do anything. We could win at Camp Nou, for sure.

Well, now we get to see the fabled Plan B.

Here comes the position change to the 'see I was right about Ernie' stance

We've also seen 'Plan B' plenty of times - last week against Adelaide, in fact, when Lia came on and Roly pushed into #10 with Griffiths on for Krishna.

How come I'm quoted in this post and yet none of the pearls of wisdom in it are mine?  o.O

Edit: Oh yeah, I see my bit. Hidden in there. Major quote meltdown there?

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

You have to wonder what is wrong with a culture where changing your mind when proven wrong is an excuse to punch on you.

we're absolutely fudgeed. A geriatric nut job up top , a wage stealing donkey in midfield , 2 pensioners at the back and a bunch of u12s on the bench! Perth are going to steam roll us 12-0 :-) seriously though 2-2 draw

Junior82, I think you can retire now, your baton can be handed over to this safe pair of hands.

Although KG19 does spoil it a bit by adding the last bit starting from "... seriously though...", but with time this reflex correction will be cured.

Great.

I'm off to put a draw on the TAB.  Good odds!

Perth have beaten Wellington twice already this season (2-1 both times, away and home) but both games were played in the first seven rounds before the Phoenix found their rhythm and a joy in rushing forward like swallows, one at odds with Perth’s natural inclinations.

Is Neymar Burns out for next 3? Socceroos have games on 25 & 30/3.

So looks like he'd be able to play for the Phoenix in their game on the 22nd but would miss the game on the 29th because the Socceroos ares remaining in Europe between games.

Huge call.  Wynton is one of our two best players and no one listens to him.

Robbie Slater had a long career as well and he isn't in the same hemisphere as a pundit and commentator as Piney and Piney played for Tawa and Wellington United.

'Good' footballers do not necessarily default to insightful commentators like they don't all default to being quality coaches.

I like to see what Burns can do against the likes of Boateng and Schweinsteiger, hopes Burns scores, but otherwise I think they get trashed!

Brazil beat Australia 6 - 0, Germany beat Brazil 7-1...... Could get ugly and bring them back to ground with a thud

I would be happy for Germany to win 13:1 as long as Burns scores the one. But I think Germany will bring on a young team to test young players for next year European Cup and Australia is in a better shape after the Asian Cup, could be a fun game.

But back to the Nix, we will beat Perth 2:1!

Agreed. Last October I watched ME qualifier (in Europe) where Poland beat Germany 2:0 for the first time in history. This was a qualifier but Germany put on a mostly young squad to blood them despite this being a qualifier.   Poland played well but it was mostly Germany that was too inexperienced.  The same Polish team only managed to draw 1:1 with Scotland a week later (but the Scots played damn well).

Back to the Nix:  a six-pointer, clearly!  :-)

And good friends with David Beckham. Was asked by the team management to be Becks' buddy helping him to settle in when he came to Spain to play. Although the friendship might have been put on ice by Victoria B., after Aloisi was reportedly the person who introduced one Rebecca Loos to Beckham at a party.

It was all in a "Hello" magazine at the time, so it must be true.

I think the point was chaps, that he thought we could catch up with a team ahead of us by drawing with them. Everything else is redundant.

Never again. I put the $20 from the TAB promo on the Jets to win a few games ago. I went through the motions of celebration when we equalised with 3 minutes to go, but it was all fake. I wanted that $160 more than 1 point. Not a true fan.
