Really not sure what to expect from this game, we have had a week off and CCM coming off a thrashing on Sunday.

If we wanna push for a home finals game, we need to beat them comfortably to help our GD.

Nix to win 2 nil. Ball and Hooper to score.

Oi Oi Edgecumbe... lets have a clean sheet

I think we might really do them here.  The Mariners were looking promising this season but recently have got worse every week.

I kind of agree, but am always weary of a banana skin game against CCM. They can play ok like against sydney and against us last time. but they do lack in the final third. If we can take it to them early and get a quick goal or two then I can see there heads dropping and it will be an easy win like last year. But if we miss our chances like against WU and they stay in it at home, then it could be a tough night.

I think you're right, the key is an early goal or two and they crumble, if they're still in the game late on they do okay

We need two goals advantage before Matt Simon comes on.

Actually, getting outplayed quite a bit these days

Don't know if you're joking as he is a source of ridicule amongst a-league fans... But I feel like his goals per game against Phoenix ratio is probably very high and someone I'd rather have in my team than against me.

For a team with so many strikers, they have so few attacking options

CCM to Revolutionise the A-league with  The elbow bump is an informal greeting where two people touch elbows. Interest in this greeting was renewed during the avian flu scare of 2006 and the 2009 swine flu outbreak, and the Ebola outbreak of 2014 when health officials supported its use to reduce the spread of germs.

Elbow bump makes sense for egg ball games. To be true to football I’m advocating #votefootshake

This is the game CCM come good and stick 4 past us, Cant see no other out come but a lose here. We've had a good run with a lot of luck on our side but everything comes to a end. CCM 4-0.

Taylors on 4 yellow cards,

If we are winning comfortably. I'd like to see TAHW get some game times at CB.

I thought McGing looked good in the FFA Cup tbh (one of the only ones who did). TAHW did pretty well out of position at RB though.

Conversely Devere looked all sorts of terrible during the FFA cup and has been pretty damn solid all season. Whatever happens and whoever plays, breaking up such an established defensive partnership either via suspension or injury could cause some issues.

We know you could not hit a passing Newcastle Jet with a bog roll C-Diddy so there is a suspicion you are going for a lower placed target.

Come on Nix - Goal fest please

The  Kersey Show, And on tonight's show, I'll show you how to juggle a red and yellow card as if they are coming out of a popup toaster.

I'm predicting 6 yellow card and 1 red card to the Nix. The red will be to our goalkeeper for sneezing in the direction of the assistant linesman. CCM will get a token gesture yellow card in the 95th minute to show impartiality. Matt Simon will go the entire game without a card, despite the usual Matt Simon performance.

I stand to be proven wrong and probably will be. I'd love the Nix to win 8-2 again but cannot see it with this guy in charge.

Proud to have attended the first 175 Consecutive "Home" Wellington Phoenix "A League" Games !!

The Ruf, The Ruf, The Ruf is on Fire!!

If the Nix do the job properly they won't need to worry about the ref. However, the combination of an away game and having not played for over 2 weeks will level the playing field a bit. I feel like we might make heavy weather of this one.

I thuink the Nix have to go for the throat from the kick off. Score and early goal or two and I think CCM will fold.

I see that Kearsey is reffing the Brisbane/WSW game tonight - surely that would mean he won't be running our game? Ben Abraham is the fourth official listed on our sheet.
