do you think they backed off in favour of the world cup pre lims even krishna didnt play hard. they know their seasons shot so why get hurt before a chance to play the world stage? players all year have been uncommited but when have we had a squad that has been together long enough to gel as a back row midfeild etc...

I disagree. I think the defence were trying hard, just disorganised. Combine Rossi's lack of English and recent game time, Ridenton and Parkhouse both filling in, it's not too surprsing. I also think Roy and Vinnie worked their arsses off.
So we will be lining up with something like this?
Mambo
Tratt? Fox Rossi Parkhouse
Roly Lia Finkler
Ridenton Watson Kosta
Sail Lowry A-Rod Singh Rogerson
If Tratt isn't back, I guess Ridenton to RB, Rogerson into the starting line up and McGarry onto the bench.
I think the club said that Tratt is away in Oz indefinitely for "personal reasons" but might be back "later in the season"...
So, unlikely to be available on Sunday...
Otherwise your suggested lineup is probably what will happen I think - except A-Rod will be a starter...
I would start Jack-Henry Sinclair over Parkhouse at the moment, would be good to seehow he plays.
see how the kids go? Based on the suggestions above it will be give the deadwood another go, and see if they are as bad as we think. Lia, roly, finkler, Watson, ridenton, kosta is not my idea of giving the kids a run.
4-1 loss :) :) :)
imagine that
Knowing how the Phoenix like to play with our emotions, I can envision us beating the Jets, while WSW lose this weekend, though we'll still narrowly miss the play-offs by the end of the season anyway. Touching wood. (not Chris)
I recon we'll do this comfortably.
Even our B team is better than the Jets, in fact our B team is probably better than our A team right now, at least they'll have desire.
I certainly hope you are right, because at just 5 points clear and Sydney, Victory and Brisbane left, we aren't safe from bottom until we win at least one game.
4-1 loss :) :) :)
imagine that
You mean we actually score a goal?
Choice!

"additional seating on KPL in lead up"...hmmmmm
So the fatal question that has bugged us all season still still bugs us- will we start Lia, A-Rod, Roly and Gui?
I could see this working with 3 at the back, but they probably won't.

Kids under 12 go free. Of course it doesn't help that they aren't playing well, there isn't an international break and its a Sunday night 7pm kick off...
Great news for Olly White then.

As opposed to pictures of Gui just sucking, of which there are sadly many from this season.

Worse still, he is/was not alone in that department on the field.
Hawkes Bay are hardly A Lge standard but was impressed with Auck City today. Could have had a hatful and cant help but think they'd probably beat the Phoenix on current form. And Riera . . jeez weve missed him this season; class player.
Not an Auck fan btw.
game day. Fire up like you've never fired up before. 3 points for the taking. COYN

You know something is seriously wrong when even Patrick feels uninspired. The guy is always trying to feel or look upbeat. Phoenix team, take note, sort your shark out.
For my birthday present today, I'd like 1 x Wellington Phoenix win and 1 x Team Wellington win. Not much to ask for is it??
I think this game will be more watchable than the one last week, expectations are low, all I hope for a good fight. If we get a point I'll be happy.
+ I'm excited about the Team Welly semi final.
relegated to sky sport pop up #2...
Bloody hell its hard to get motivated to come to this game.Got to say the first time ever i could really take or leave a game.Really not expecting much attendance wise lst hope freebies for kids does something.
I am betting 4k. No promotion of the game have I seen
I found this in Aucks yesterday and also pinched a win in the pub quiz! It's a sign...
